That is nice, but Divx support would be better (I know its unlikely). I'll take this for starters though. It would be nice if the HD podcasts on iTunes would work in the PS3.

PS3 Update 1.82 is Available
Turned on my PS3 to do some remote play and it wanted me to download the new firmware update. Update includes... High Profile (H.264/MPEG-4) playback Backwards compatibility enhancements |
Anyone know what Backwards compatibility enhancements were added in?
|
The PSN Store has been updated with a new demo and some trailers. Heres the list...
Super Stardust HD Dynasty Warriors: GUNDAM Demo GTA IV Trailer 2 Superbad Trailer I Know Who Killed Me Trailer The Invasion Trailer License to Wed Trailer |
Super Stardust HD rocks. Even more fun than Geometry Wars and definitely worth $7.99.
|
Super Stadust looks impressive. I've been enjoying Geometry Wars which I bought on Steam, but I'm going to buy this as well for the PS3.
|
Supposedly, the Resistance FOM map pack and updates are up. Not sure of the price though.
|
Hopefully one of these days they'll update the firmware so that it supports resume play for BDs and DVDs. I've got a Sony DVD player that'll save the resume information for the latest 40 discs. Also, I'd like to see some upscaling support for BD material that is encoded at 480.
|
Super Stardust is amazing. Very much worth the $8. If you like Geometry Wars, definitely download it. It has more too it and also has a co-op mode.
|
hmm, If is anything like Geometry Wars, I will have to get it.
|
It is, and it's even more addicting. My friend and I made it up to rank 231 in co-op mode. Geometry Wars has better music though.

The highly anticipated title Warhawk, a PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive, will be available both as a downloadable title via PLAYSTATION Network and at retail stores as a Blu-ray disc on August 28, 2007.
Sony's released an official statement that confirms the $59.99 price tag for Warhawk, but doesn't specify what's happening with the downloadable version. For that, we'll have to wait a little longer. |

$60 is the retail package which includes a bluetooth headset, it will also be available for purchase online. I'm guessing it will be $30-$40.

Good lord, the Sony arrogance still has not ended.
Sony says "We don't buy exclusivity. We EARN it." In a not-very-disguised jab at Microsoft, SCEA President Jack Tretton told PSM in the latest issue: "We have a very different approach to exclusives than some of our competitors. We don't buy exclusivity. We don't fund development. We don't, for lack of a better term, bribe somebody to only do a game on our platform. We earn it..." He went on to say... "Microsoft is too dependent on the third-party community, and Nintendo is too depended on first-party. We like to feel that we got a pretty good mix." Suggest grabbing the latest PSM for the full interview - lots of good stuff in it (and I'm not just saying that because they're down the hall, seriously). So is this supposed to be his excuse as to why they are losing exclusives like GTA4 and DMC4? Isn't he basically saying they have not earned the right to have them as exclusives? :hscratch: |

Sony has deservedly taken a lot of flak for some of its initial ludicrous statements regarding the PS3, but that doesn't mean that every statement that comes from Sony is worthy of ridicule. |
:hump:
I can confirm that we are, of course, going to be releasing a demo for Heavenly Sword...and soon! This will be downloadable via the Playstation Network...so keep an eye out for this in the very near future...and i mean very near future! http://www.n4g.com/ps3/News-49200.aspx |
