If they are making a new twisted metal game I want it to be more like twisted metal black, not the PSP game.

I'm thinking about a second controller purchase. Does anyone have any knowledge about the PS3 AfterGlow controllers? Those looked pretty slick.

I really like the Nerf ones and love the whole concept. All I've seen though are PS2 models. Has Nerf put out a PS3 one? Quality?

What about a third party controller with a more traditional trigger layout like the 360 or Wavebird instead of the two bumper buttons? Anything like that exist? Similarly any with the analog and d-pad swapped?

The PSP game is based on Black.

So Warhawk seems to be getting pretty good reviews so far. There must be a lot more to it than what the Beta had. It was fun but not worthy of the reviews I've been reading. I'm actually interested now.

Yeah, I was surprised by the reviews too. I'm still leaning towards a rental, if only because I've got too much to play as it is.

If you didn't like it before and now the reviews make you think different it probably won't change how you feel about it when you play it again.

I enjoyed it but it got repetitive pretty quick. That could have just been because it was the Beta and didn't offer much. If there are some different game modes it could have lasting power.

Huh... it's going to be the same as the beta, but more balanced, and less crashes. Pull your pants back up I say.

1UP has a bit of a tease up on the upcoming Silent Hill 5 story in the next EGM. Looks like we'll still be waiting a while though. Hopefully, we'll at least get Origins on the PS2, well, only if it's actually any good .

Another Question can I start buying Blue Ray movies and watching them on a PS3 without an HDTV?

Yes but doing that is kind of pointless.

Sure, but they won't look any better than regular, standard def DVDs....

You may as well wait, and pick them up out of bargain bins later once you have a HD tv to watch them on. Just rent the dvds in the meantime.

IGN posted their review of Lair... "It was somewhere in the neighborhood of my fourth pass over a bridge filled with two warring factions and a bunch of evil rhinos that I went from thinking Lair wasn't that bad to wondering if Lucifer himself pressed this Blu-ray disc in the pits of hell. "

Ouch...I've been hearing pretty negative reviews for this title, too bad...

Puzzle Fighter is out today and they even included a demo for once and 4 free wallpapers.

No voice chat on the PS3 version. (not sure I consider that a negative)
Control seems really good and that may be an issue with the 360 version so some good news at least.

Yeah. Lair is pretty much shit all around.

At least Warhawk and Heavenly Sword had enough 8s to make up for the few mediocre reviews. Lair though seems to have zero upside.

None of these are really winning me over enough to buy right now. Too much competition from Bioshock for my money right now.

Thats not really what I am worried about, I am just thinking ahead for when I have an HDTV which will probably be before the end of the year.

Can anyone recommend a solid PS2/PS3 controller adapter? Apparently the one my store carries has lag issues.

With Guilty Gear: Accent Core a week away I want to be able to enjoy this game using my PS2 arcade stick.

Yeah, that's the buzz on Lair right now... Well, i preordered from Overstock with the price mistake ($41 shipped), so i'm gonna keep it.

Another terrible Lair review: 4.5 at Gamespot.

I'm surprised Factor 5 released this game. I kinda liked their Rogue Squadron games, and figure they must have known they had a dud that needed fixed, but I guess they couldn't be bothered to fix it, or they knew that it was so broken, it was just not fixable.

From the EGM podcast, they said it isn't a bad game in and of itself, it is the Suxaxis conrols that ruin the experience.

No matter, it is on the way from Gamefly. Can't wait to try it out.
