I was finally able to link my account. I plugged in my code, and instead of giving me an error message like it normally does, it took me back to my profile page. Now, it still has no information, but if I look at the top of the page where it lists my personal information, instead of saying 1 groupie, it says I have 508.

Edit: Okay, now it's starting to put in some of my information.

Never saw the invite, weird. Tracer Bullet -- I'll be adding you tonight.

More people seem to be online, since I can now get a co-op game going. One nice thing -- all the co-op exclusive songs are unlocked when you go online so it's a chance to check them out.

It's too bad you can't be a "Bass Hero" and play the game through that way.

Has anyone started a DVD Talk Tour Group on the GH website?

Yeah, mine finally linked over the weekend too. The website usually isn't up-to-date with my info, so I'm not sure how often it updates.

How do you link your acct to the site? I'm not seeing what it says I should see.

Xbox® 360 Instructions.

From the Main Menu, select 'Xbox Live'. Next, select www.guitarhero.com.

Enter the VIP Passcode displayed on the screen in the sections below.
Click the 'Link Account' button underneath

Main Menu of the GH site? I don't see that option.

When I try to link my GH account with my live account on the GH website, I keep getting an error "cannot find that token" when entering the VIP code. Am I doing something that should be easy incorrectly?

It took a week before the site would accept my token. Keep trying later in the week. Also, other people have reported mistaking a zero for an O (or vice versa), so check for that.

Sorry to ask, but...

First off, let me apologize for asking a question that has probably been asked a hundred times over. I'm on the ship on my way home from Iraq, and don't have the internet "ability" to get through 36 pages... that would take months.

What system should I buy the game for????

- I currently own all 3, PS3, 360 and a Wii
- I do NOT own any previous versions of GH, nor do I have any guitars
- Not too interested in on-line play. I've got a 10 year old who'll play too, if he picks it up, I'll most likely get a second guitar for co-op.

Are there any main selling points I'm missing? I know the Wii guitar has the speaker (due to the WiiMote) that most people seem to enjoy. Are there any differences in sound quality? With the Wii being only ProLogic II, do the other two systems sound any better being DD? Is there downloadable content for any of the systems yet? I'm playing on a Sony SXRD (two year old LCOS), any known lag issues in any of the systems?

Again, sorry for not searching... just not an option for my out here. This being my first "must buy" game for when I get home, I'd like to get some more input before spending the 100 bucks....

Thanks!

My vote would be for 360. Even if you're not going to play online, the DLC community will probably be the most robust here, and therefore you'll have a larger song-base to play through.

whoa.

I can only get four stars on raining blood. Its the only one that I can't get 5 stars on easy.

Although, first few tries, I only got 3 stars on all songs...

I don't think that's so strange, particularly for those of us who are playing a Guitar Hero game for the first time. I finally passed that song on easy for the first time a few days ago. I was working my way through medium, but seeing that "41 of 42 songs" note under Easy set my OCD a boilin', so I gave it another go and passed it.

I only wish the songs I actually like were some of the more difficult ones. I could listen to the Stone Roses endlessly, but I'd rather not hear Slayer repeatedly. I will admit, though, that even the songs I don't like are fun to play.
