I'm hoping to be online for a bit this afternoon and evening. I have a short respite bewtween the last out of town guest (sister-in-law) and the next out of town guest (wife's friend). I'm still at lvl 6, so I have a little catching up to do.

I hope to be able to squeak in a couple games tonight around 9pm EST.

Considering how much I played CoD2, this is pure torture. I want to play, and have some free time. I am glad I am allowing you all to enjoy a laugh at my expense. It's just like it was when we all were playing.

If a friend has the Call of Duty 4 Beta, then they can do what the eBay sellers are doing, but for free. This will require you to hand over your Gamertag details and password.

1. Plug in 2 Controllers.
2. Sign Controller 1 into the shared account (the one with the Beta)
3. Leave Controller 2 signed out
4. With Controller 1, go to 'Account Management' under the Marketplace Blade then 'Download History'
5. With Controller 2, press the Guide Button then A to access profiles
6. With Controller 1, select YOUR account and sign in
7. Press B on Controller 2 (to exit the guide) then unplug Controller 2
8. Select the COD4 Beta onscreen, then press 'Confirm Download'
9. The Beta will now download with YOUR account and once done, will work with your account

Note: Of course doing this is at your own risk, MS might not like it.

Update: It looks like Microsoft is banning people who used this trick from the COD4 beta now.

I got a token for the beta last night and I'm already up to level 11, will they raise the cap soon?

I got a call today to pick up my copy of MOH:A. I didn't even think I had it reserve anymore because I knew I wanted this game. Turns out I have 20.00 on it and Stranglehold. Totally forgot about that so I just got 3/4 of the cost of this game taken care of.

Really loving the beta so far. Reached level 6 after a few rounds. I immediately sent messages to the guys I play R6:V with and told them we need to invest in this game! I may suck a bit but it's still fun as hell.

I played for a while yesterday afternoon and got my ass handed to me as usual. Still had fun, though. I think I'm up to 7 now. All the deathmatches I found were filled with players maxed at 11. The unvoiced cry, I'm sure, was "You take Nosmo this time!".
I think I also completed the M-16 Marksman challenge yesterday as well.

I just got an email about the level cap going up to 16, yet I still do not have a token. This is torture!!!

I didn't get any email about the raised ranking cap. I just checked in-game and it hasn't been raised.

The videos make the multiplayer look very run-and-gun with little strategy . I'm not a big fan of the pure chaos shooters---can any beta players relate and give me their impressions?

From my few hours playing: Team Deathmatch is basically run and gun, and my least favorite game. The Domination (capture the flag) mode is probably my favorite, and has more teamwork involved. There's also a 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 mode where you die you're done, and could probably make for good teamwork games.
