I just bought a pair of SkullCandy lowrider headphones to use with my DSLite and PSP Slim. Was going to get a pair of white earbuds but figured that headphones that actually cup over the ears would provide better overall sound and be more comfortable for long play periods.

Can anyone vouch for the quality of these headphones? Also, the DSLite and PSP Slim are both compatible with regular headphones, right?

Ok, I couldn't resist picking up the Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket in-ear headphones for half their regular price. Has anyone tried these and have any opinions to volunteer? From whatever online reviews I could dig up, these seem to be good quality and much better than their "Smokin' Buds". I'm also wondering it the headphone jack is the right fit for the PSP Slim n' Lite and DS Lite, since I read someone had problems with it fitting their iPhone.

I may need to invest in some headphones for playing on LIVE late at night. My neighbor left a note asking me to turn my system down because he can't sleep when I play at 4am. Ok, fair enough. Bitches...

Anyway, I was looking at those Turtle Beach headsets since they have mics for LIVE. Anyone have a set of these or anything like them?

ZX10Doug in my clan swears by those headsets. When he got them he was pimping them on our clan forum like there was no tomorrow. If you send him a message on Live i bet he would be able to answer questions about them for you.

My wife got me the wireless X3's for Christmas, and I really like them. I previously played my games with no sound since I did not want to wake the wife or kids. I think the biggest complaint you may find, at least with the wireless X3's is there is static when there is silence but as long as you are in a game you will not notice this. Also when the batteries are low people will not be able to hear you talk, but you will hear them. The battery life is really good I have changed them only twice since January. They are also pretty comfortable. I would recommend them if you have to play with low sound or none at all. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks guys.

Yeah at this point the X3's seem to be the best bet. I guess it has the old adapter dongle for connecting the mic to the XBOX controller for LIVE chat so I'll have to remove my Chatpad when using the headphones. Other than that I can probably deal with the other negatives like hiss. It'll just be for late night gaming so oh well...if it keeps my neighbor off my doorstep then it'll be worth it.
