I really hope so, since most of us don't have a big group of folks who can just hang out and get through the entire mode live. Unfortunately, the interview just went up today.

Yeah, but it's also worded very similarly to a previous interview where nearly the same thing was said.

Talked to my local walmart supercenter. The lady was very nice, so i was pretty shocked. I asked about the PS3 and she said they have a bunch but are only selling 4 tonight. She said there's already 30 people in line, but they're all talking Xbox versoin as far as she could tell, but i'm not going to go sit in line hoping that only 3 out of the 30 want the PS3.

Hopefully my pre-order with newegg goes through, but i'm not holding my breath.

Went to the midnight release at my local Gamestop to get my preordered copy. They started bringing the boxes out and the manager asked who was here for the 360 version? 20-25 hands went up. PS3? One. So they did have extra PS3 versions, but for the 360 they had to cut off preorders weeks ago.

well my Best buy had a midnight release and sold out right before I got to the store. I'll try to find one tomorrow.

I told myself I wasn't going to do it, but I did. I was bored and it was 11:00 PM so I headed down to the local Best Buy that was doing the preorders. I sat in the car for a little while judging the line which was about 50 people since it was about 11:45 and then saw employees walking the line so I jumped in line. I was #38 out of 50 for the 360 version and before they opened the doors the 360 was sold out and when I left they still had PS3 versions in stock.

On the way home I stopped at the Walmart by my house and they were unboxing them. They said they had only sold the 360 so far but still had a bunch so I picked up another one in case for my brother or one of the guys at work or possible to resell.

There were maybe a dozen people at the local GameStop when I picked up my game. I was the last one out the door and when I left they still had a huge stack. They said they are not selling the warranties on the bundles because of the limited availability of the product. Now I am even happier I am waiting to buy the instruments later on down the road.

I am very happy that out of the few songs that are unlocked for Quick Play at the start of the game was I Think I'm Paranoid. It was super easy on Medium but still very fun.

Just got back from Walmart half an hour ago for the midnight sale.....I didn't get up there until 10:45, and I was the 2nd person there (one guy and his significant other had been there since 8, ouch!)
Unbelievably, they only had PS3 versions for sale (6 total), none for the 360! That was fine with me (since that's the one I wanted)....but quite a few other people showed up during that 11-12 hour looking to score one and were turned away in shock at no 360 sets....
So at midnight when they sold them, there were actually only 5 of the 6 sold I believe (one guy there was only getting Mass Effect)....one kid saw me walking out the store with it and asked me if they still had any and I told him to get back there and he might be able to snag that sixth one....

I drove by the Best Buy that's right near the Walmart on my way home, just to see if anyone was camping out like for a system, but no one was there....I am actually going to try and get one tomorrow morning from there since it would be free for me out of pocket (with reward zone certificates and my gift card)...still, glad to at least have one in hand if too many people show up at BB before me!

Terrible news though: IGN just posted tonight that the PS3 GHIII controller will NOT, repeat, NOT work with Rock Band for PS3 as previously speculated/reported:

That REALLY sucks, I was going to use my GHIII guitar for the bass in RB! Hopefully they can find a way to fix this and make it fully compatible like the 360 version is through a firmware update or along with a DLC purchase or something....

Best Buy offered their 2 year warranty for 29.99 but I don't know if that was service or replacement. I passed since I am undecided on if I am even going to keep the game. Worst case I can always add it on later.

Supposedly, well according to the guy who was behind me who hadn't showered in years, only 20 Best Buys were doing Midnight sales. The rest are selling in the morning. There were only 2 stores in the surrounding area that were open.

Yeah, only two BB stores in my state were doing the midnight sale, and neither were closer than almost 2 hours away from me!
I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that I can land a PS3 version tomorrow morning there for pretty much free, but I'm not going to go too early and stand but for so long out in the cold, especially since I already have one copy of it staring me down right here and now. :eyebrow:
