Ya, I played Wanted Dead or Alive at BB. I play Guitar Hero on Medium, and try to get through career on hard sometimes, but I nearly aced the song's lead guitar on Medium my first time playing it. Not hard at all. But then again, maybe I'll be able to beat expert now.

Well, someone on GAF got it early (yesterday) and 13 hours later, the downstrum was broken on the strat. I guess there's some validity to that other thread that popped up yesterday.

Also, I've heard that there are currently some compatibility issues with the PS3 Les Paul working with Rock Band. That's going to be really shitty if someone buys the game-only version and can't even play the guitar parts.

After "building" the game last night, I played a few songs on guitar and liked it. Then I hooked up the drums and LOVED it. The drums are so much fun and so much harder than guitar that it actually feels challenging on medium again :) I can't wait to play with a friend...goodbye Guitar Hero!

Medium drums use the kick pedal. IGN was wrong about that.

Aaah, thanks. Not the first time they were wrong I suppose...and quite frankly, I would've been annoyed if I had to play on hard or expert just to use it.

Someone on another forum that got it early said that Medium had kicks, but that it was minimal. He also said the difficulty ramps up rather nicely through the tiers, so that if you can make it through Medium, you should be able to handle the first few tiers of Hard at the last, and then maybe improve from there.

I've decided against the midnight release at Best Buy. I have to work tomorrow, and there will probably be a ton of people anyways. I'll take my chances tomorrow at a best buy when they open and hope to get a bundle set.
If not, I guess I'll have to wait until they are restocked in the future.

I plan only buying at Best Buy because I have gift cards and reward zone certs to cut the price down to little out of pocket expense.

I wonder if wal-marts will be releasing on midnight? Maybe I should go to my local video game stores and see if they are still doing pre orders so I dont have to run around all night or in the morning tomorrow before work.

I have to be at work at 3:30am, so I think I'll get up a little earlier and try my luck at Walmart or KMart.

I know our store is doing the midnight release, but we only got 22 Xbox 360 bundles (we still haven't gotten the PS3 ones yet...as of last night). So chances are you might not get one. I'm not looking forward to telling the people waiting that there are so few.

I know that you can't play GH1 or GH2 on PS3, but what about playing GH1 and GH2 with a ROCK BAND controller (rather than the GH3 PS3 controller). Any info on this possibility?

It doesn't work with GH3 so I don't think it'll work with GH2 or GH1 either.

Freebird seemed much tougher to me. This one is just two minutes longer.

I've got my brother in law waiting now at Wal-Mart in Knoxville, TN. The manager said that there weren't a lot of PS3 bundles available. He's first in line and waiting for the 360 one.

Yikes, people are lininig up already at some locations? It looks like I may not get this game until it is restocked in the hopefully near future. I don't have it pre-ordered anywhere. I'm taking my chances on getting to Best Buy 15-30 minutes before they open tomorrow and hope that there aren't any or just a few people waiting. If I can't get it tomorrow, I can wait. Even though it will be rough. I should get to play it in a couple weeks with a bunch of friends, so that will be fun in and of itself. We can have a band jam in person. :lol:

I'm single-handedly pressuring my local GS store manager to do a midnight opening. I keep texting him, "Pleeeease do a midnight opening for Rock Band. I need it!" :lol:

This is my mindset. I want it, but I just don't think I want to be waiting in lines. I'll hit up a couple of (usually non-busy) stores in the morning, and try my luck at Costco and Sam's as well. If I can't get it by noon, I'll just wait.

My copy arrived from Amazon via Fedex today...now to decide whether to play it or to sell it on eBay...not sure that I even have time to do much gaming for the rest of this year.

Amazon screwed me on GH3 and I'm sure they will too with Rock Band, even though I pre-ordered it within an hour of it being posted to the site.
