You should be able to. When my friend and I did multiplayer in the demo, we were each allowed to choose our own difficulty level.

Supposedly the new OXM announced some DLC that will be available. If true.... WOW

It's a wonderful song, but the title is Fortunate SON. Think "W".

Wow, that'd be a good start for DLC! All that in addition to The Who album and I think a Nirvana album (not a fan, but might be fun to play)?

Now I'm just curious about pricing...what would you guys be willing to pay? The only DLC I bought for GH2 was the My Chemical Romance pack, since that was a CD I was listening to a lot at the time. Overall, it was just too pricey for songs that weren't that great.

Obviously it won't be any less than 100 points/song (which would work out to $1.25 if you bought your points for $20), but I would be VERY selective if they made it more than 200 points/song ($2.50).

Considering that after you add bonus songs, the songs that come w/the game disc are not more than $1 or so a piece - PLUS you are getting the entire interface or whatever - I think doing 100 points/song on average would be perfect. I could see Metallica or something like that being a bit more.

Wishful thinking, I suppose?

Yeah some of the song titles are incorrect. The David Bowie one is wrong too. Sorry, I just copied and pasted it without editing.

100 per song is what everyone wanted for GHII also and that didn't happen. Unfortunately they sold like hotcakes as overpriced as they were. So they set a benchmark that I doubt GHIII or RB will dip under.

Looks like some great additions though.

This is some awesome fucking news straight from Harmonix! I'm guessing there'll be a slight price-break on buying the whole pack, but if you only want one song, you don't need to buy the whole pack.

Finally tried the demo at BB today. Good Lord that guitar is sweet. It seems a lot bigger than the GH II and GH III ones; I don't know if it actually is larger, though. It felt solid and I just LOVE the metal pins in the top -- they serve no purpose but they sure look authentic. I'm still a little fuzzy about the lower frets -- what are they for? The guitar solo bit at the end of the song?

BTW : I may be bad at the guitar part, but I'm Eddie Van Halen compared to the drums. Holy hell, I suck at them.

I saw the demo the other day, looked pretty slick. Bunch of kids were hogging it though so I couldn't try it.
I'd definitely buy the Sabbath and Bowie DLC.
Is MSRP officially 169.99? in other words, places that have it listed for 199, are they marking up for profit or just haven't updated price yet? (specifically FYE.com, I have store credit there).
Since the 360s guitar is wired, how long is the wire? My PS2 GH2 died--was killed--because of the guitar's wire.

I tried Dani California and Epic on the drums on easy and it was so damn hard. Maybe it was the way they had it set up, but I kept missing the two right pads. The drums are alot harder than I thought they would be, but nonetheless it was a blast to play and I can't wait to have it myself.

The drums take some getting used to, and obviously some songs are easier than others in the percussion department. I had a hard time with Tom Sawyer on medium, but breezed through Detroit Rock City on hard.

Yeah, the 'gag' songs don't rub me the right way. From Trogdor on GH2, to Timmy on RB, and isn't there a similar one on GH3? Only a few (well, maybe a dozen or so) of those tracks really jump out at me and make me want to play them. Then again, I didn't really enjoy most of the new music so far in the 00's.

The time is almost here. I have it on pre-order, I have the money to pay it off right now, and I'm more than ready to finally own it.

In other news...this sounds, ummm, a bit weird:

http://kotaku.com/gaming/rock-band/r...ion-322329.php

We're going to be able to export to your web pages, and from there you'll be able to take your band avatars, pose them, create album covers with your band logo and different scenes with your avatars. And then you'll be able to turn that into real world stuff. For example, figurines based upon your Rock Band avatars, t-shirts with your fake band's album art and your tour dates on the back from your accomplishments within the game, bumper stickers, old records, things like that. Really cool real-world merchandise based on this fictitious band that you've created in the game.
It's like a mindblowing hybrid of creepy and totally awesome.

I got my pre-order in last week, finally. Now I don't think a single GameStop anywhere near me has any pre-orders left. Is this really supposed to be hard to find once the release date comes, or is all of that just false hype. It's hard to tell sometimes.

I dunno, but I should be guaranteed one at Gamestop since I pre-ordered over 2 weeks ago, right?

Yeah, when I put down my pre-order they told me that I was guaranteed a copy. I have no clue how it was at your store, but the one that I pre-ordered at only offered 8 pre-orders. I've heard that number be as low as 3 for some stores.

There other day I noticed that WalMart has big displays advertising the game as being in store on launch day, but who knows how many they'll get in stock.

I'm going to attempt to garner one at midnight at the local twenty-four hour Wal-Mart near my house.

The way I see it, with the liberal return policy they have, getting it there should be a decent insurance policy should the drum give out quickly, or something in that regard.

Mine is reserved and 100% paid off. I can't wait.

Meanwhile, that stuff about using your avatars and band logo and stuff for real world merchandise is blowing my mind. I never thought I'd be able to have a band shirt for Anal Scraper, my GH/RB band.
