Humorously enough I have never played Settlers either. I'm all over the Live version due to the extremely high ranking the game has at the Boardgamegeek as well as wanting to support board/card game iterations on Live. I did recently buy Settlers for the school game club I run but i have yet to read the rules and teach the kids. Perhaps i will do that over Spring Break so i can start planning strategies to take on Chiwot.

Culdcept is another one that i hope is good. I actually have a feeling it will be a 39.99 release because i think it will very much have a cult following and not appeal to the core 360 demographic.

Even if nobody else ever buys it i know i will play a collectible card battler like that to death. I just eat that genre up. Heck the game that has been receiving the most play time lately for me has been Magenknight on the DS.

card battler huh?

is it like, 3rd person walk around, use cards to summon monsters, or is it like Metal Gear Acid, or Yu Gi Oh?

I'm into all of those, mind you

From what i have seen (and video has been limited in English) it appears at some point you are on a track that looks almost like a board game where you encounter enemies and it enters a battle screen. Much of the footage has been of cut scenes and scenes of cards animating and summoning things. I'm not even sure if only head to head has been confirmed. I have literally seen only a touch of information on this title around the last E3 and their was a video in the Live marketplace around that time as well.

It looks very very Japanese - kind of how Phantom Dust was.

Is Catan a card battler? I was under the assumption that one was not.

More Catan info than you can shake a stick at!
