Man, what a great story this would make if your approach yields positive results! Sure would make a nice counter-point to all that hater rhetoric spewed by Jack Thompson.

I know at least three of us live in the same general area. Weird how that works out.

BTW Goldberg74, I did place that order for the cases. I'll let you know as soon as I get it.

Ah, but that's the beauty of it -- nobody had a VCR yet.

Seriously it was a master class in acting : I, being a 10 year old boy, fight with my 6 year old "sister" over what to watch on TV with such ferocity that I shove her to the floor. Then our "mother" shows us how we can TAPE one show and WATCH the other! Brilliant!

Who else lives in our neck of the Rivercity? Maybe we need to start a San Antonio Chapter of VGTalk.

I had the same experience and also managed to beat the game in my youth. Now if I play it on an emulator I'm lucky if I can get past the 2nd or 3rd level.

This is me with Ninja Gaiden. I beat that one and got all the way through Side Pocket on the NES, but now I can barely last 5 minutes before the game is over.

You beat Ninja Gaiden?

I made it to the final boss at least two dozen times. I got sick of it kicking me back all those levels when he'd kick my ass so I eventually threw in the towel.

The sequel however I beat on my very first playthrough. Not only that, but my first man. Didn't die once. Not quite the challenge the first one gave me.
