It is a Crow reference. The teaser for City of Angels featured the crow flying into a graveyard and sitting on a headstone. The camera panned down to reveal the name of the next "chosen one." Michael Corvin. The name was changed during production to Ashe Corven. They wanted a four letter name to go along with Eric Draven from the first film(lame). This is the only instance where Michael Corvin is used in the franchise, therefore not commonly taken on message boards, unlike Draven.

Michael Corvin has nothing to do with the character from Underworld which came years later. I think they had the same idea as me and were inspired by the Crow teaser and was their little nod to the franchise since they had a whole Crow meets Matrix vibe going on.

I am so sorry for the coincidence between your name and Alf.

Dang!... 29 yo and 6 kids! I'm 32 with 4 kids and some folks think I'm nuts for having that many and wanting to have (one) more.

First Name: Nathan
Multiplayer Name (specify Xbox, Wii, PS3, PC): if you see KingSmoth on the internet, it's me, I've had the name for over 10 years
Age: 25
Occupation:currently manage a restaurant, but I start working for the Sheriff's Department in two weeks
Location: Augusta, GA
Favorite Next-Gen Console: 360
Favorite Prev-Gen Console:PS2, PS1, Genesis, NES
Favorite Game: probably Resident Evil 4. I gave up gaming for a while because I told people I would if RE4 lived up to the insane level of hype I had given it(because if it did, I had no reason to get another game again). God of War snapped me out of that mindset...
First Gaming Memory: my friend got an NES when it released, and he lived next door, so I spent every single day over there playing Super Mario Bros. I miss those days...
Something About You We Don't Know: Aside from gaming and movies, my hobbies I somehow fit into my full-time schedule and budget are Filmmaking(two shorts I hope to finish re-editing in time for horror festivals this year, plus a comedy I'm in pre-production on and expecting to film in April), Jeeps(building up a Cherokee and a CJ5, soon enough a 1998 Grand Cherokee 5.9), woodworking, weightlifting, and occasionally writing down game concepts(I would love to get into game design, but I gave up programming years ago to get my degree in film, and just don't know if I could get into programming again). I am also an avid bowler and fully expect to be playing on the PBA Tour within a year.
