They decided on calling it UT3 simply because they know there is no way in hell this game is actually coming out in 2007.

There was never an Unreal Tourney 2, was there? Wasn't it Unreal Tournament, 2003, 2004, and now 2007/3?

I can't say for a fact off the top of my head whether there was an UT2 but I do know there was an Unreal 2. Maybe they just don't want to confuse people or something??
