sure...
if they hold them for the ad, you are completely removing 'random luck' from the equation, unless you waited outside of a big store, and just happened to be that last person who could get a system |
Exactly. Another CAG rumor has TRU holding them for next sunday (11th) I believe.

I'm supposed to help this couple find a Wii...
thing is, i can't stand the guy, and am not really going to go out of my way to find them one. |
Offer it up for a premium. Get $20-$50 out of it for your "work." If it truly is as easy to find as you say, $20 should be worth it.
|
well, I explained to them that you could get one off ebay, with shipping included for 320. We told them that if they gave us the cash, we would get on ebay right away.
Apparently they had a problem with the 70 premium, even though tax in PA on 250 would be about 15 bucks anyway, or only a 55 premium (give or take). The funny thing is, for how much I don't like the guy, he still wants me to be his best-man in his wedding LOL :( |

Conan O'Brien and Serena Williams played one another via Wii Tennis on his show tonight.

I caught the tail end of that coming home this morning. It was cute. |
 That's great. This is the reason why Nintendo is riding a high right now and Sony can't seem to buy any buzz.

2nd February 2007 - This week Wii’s innovative Virtual Console has gone back in time to offer players across Europe a selection of popular games from the 1980s. Leading the charge is Gradius™, a classic side-scrolling shoot em-up from Konami, first playable on the Nintendo Entertainment System, which set-the standard for its genre as well as delighting game fans across the globe. Gradius™, is now available to download from the Wii Shop Channel for a 500 Wii Points. To compliment this great retro-revival are three top games from the SEGA MEGA DRIVE™. The first offering is the highly amusing Bonanza Bros.™, a two-player platform game where players commit a series of burglaries as two bungling brothers. Next up is arcade inspired action game Comix Zone™, where up to two players progress through a comic book fighting bad guys to reach the next page. Finally up to two players can battle their way over 50 levels as one of twelve characters in the highly addictive Gain Ground™, All three SEGA MEGA DRIVE titles are available for 800 Wii points. These great games will join the 42 classic titles already available for the Virtual Console in Europe. Since launch a staggering 1.5 million games have been downloaded worldwide from the service. I think these are the first official #'s regarding VC downloads. Pretty impressive. Chris |
I just picked up the component cables the other day. Does the main dashboard seem really blurry to anyone else while running in 480p? It actually looks fine to me using composite, but when I switch to component the dashboard does not seem sharp at all.
Games look better though. |
This might be a really stupid question, but how do i get my Wii code? Is it in the Wii settings? Or do i have to get one from the store?
|
Check your address book.
It'll have your code and allow you to add other's codes. |

Games look better though. You need to set it at 480i... 480p is better for motions, so since the display screen is static, perhaps that explains the blurred display. Yes, same thing on my TV, but after switching to 480i, the screen is clearer. |
I actually had my first Wii sightings as well at a Wal-mart. They are remodeling and they weren't in plain sight, but, I always look just because. They had at least 4 and maybe as many as 6. I didn't even think about ebay or Craig's list. Nobody was wandering around there either. I bet they were gone within the next hour or two though.

It's the same in Gamestop too...mostly with phone calls though. Yesterday Target did have a 60G PS3 in the case though...and I've seen them several other times. |

I actually saw 8 Wii Points cards at Target last night. I'm gonna swing by Best Buy here in 3 hours when they open to see if they have any because I figure it would be today, ad or not.

I did a search and found a couple that are working right now.
