And to follow up on the various warranty questions...does this mean the console I had replaced by Microsoft in October now is under warranty until next October?

Well, I set my 360 up for the first time and played Dead Rising for about 10 minutes before the screen went black and the three red lights started flashing on the console. Then, nothing. Can't even turn the sytem on now. Anyone else experience the same? Suggestions?

Is the console under 3 months old and you have proof of purchase or is the console manufactured before 1/1/06 if yes then call 1800-xmy-xbox to get a ups box shipped to you for repair. Otherwise ready to fork out some dough

Just saw the news on the extended warranty for the 360. Smart of MS to at least offer the usual 1 year. 90 days for a $400 unit doesn't exude alot of confidence in there product.

A follow up to my post above: After my 360 died within 15 minutes of hooking it up for the first time, I took it to CC. Exchanged it without a hitch and they let me switch out my harddrive so I wouldn't have to register it again. Surprisingly good CS considering it was a busy Fri. night before Christmas.

I had to laugh this morning when I looked in the Want Ads under Video Games. I saw (50) PS3's still up for sale and still for that outlandish crazy price of $900 to the really idiot price of $2500!
I've only had my 360 for two months but it's paid for, cheaper, got the games (GoW rules!), loads of on-line players and the best games right around the corner. What more can you ask for? Who needs a stinkn' PS3?

nah, that was 2 weeks ago (and i want to purchase that one, badly)
last week was that drone-type game, where they wanted you to think it was like twisted metal, but in actuality, it was the worst attempt ever. I couldn't stomache it longer than 2 minutes, which says a LOT

Just picked up a 360 premium today. Looking forward to contribute to this section more and hopefully join Live within the next little while. I won't be able to test out my system until tonight since I am off to work.
Hopefully it will look fine on my 27" tv

My New Rally-X review will be up a bit later. But in short, don't waste your marketplace points:
+ Colorful graphics & nice menu design
+ Classic audio preserved
- Insanely easy achievements
- No multiplayer mode
- Repetitive gameplay
- Collision detection issues
- Little to no replay value
Stick with the demo if you need a Rally-X fix. The full version is just plain mediocre.

disaster averted...
apparently my brother-in-law went to pick up a new 360 yesterday, but neglected to tell me so. I get a call at work today, asking "how do I save?"
Yup, he bought the core system
I told him to call the EB he got it from last night, and see if he could exchange it for the premium. They wouldn't do it. They said they could only 'technically' exchange it for the same thing.
He wanted me to contact my manager friend. After going to his store, he was more than happy to oblidge to let him do the exchange
Here, they are giving him ghost recon with the premium as well, and apparently they have a deal going on today and tomorrow, where, if you purchase a premium system, you can spend 20 bucks and get NCAA football 07.
Since he already bought Madden 07, i snagged the NCAA

I really like Zuma, but the demo seems to be enough for me, I think. I would have gone for 400 points, but 800 seems kinda steep for it.

- Assault Heroes is overpriced. It can be finished in a couple hours and the co-op mode is problematic.
- I haven't played Small Arms yet, but it seems to be a popular choice. Especially if you enjoy multiplayer. Nick loved it.
- Mortal Kombat is priced correctly and it's a solid title, but I really haven't played it since I reviewed it. It's just not entertaining to me.
-Other titles I would recommend are Marble Blast Ultra (800 points), Doom (800 points), and Uno (400 points). I also love the originality of Cloning Clyde & Outpost Kaloki X, but they have little replay value after completing single player.
