Have you heard about Call of Juarez? It is a western themed PC FPS that just came out in Europe a few months ago and is coming to the US sometime early this year.
I wish Capcom would make another Gunsmoke game too. That was one of my favorite NES games.

I am really digging Gun, which is why I posted the question checking if it had its own thread. I am playing it on normal now, and am at the last fight. I didn't have any luck last night, but I am pretty sure I know how to beat him now. I don't really want to hijack this thread, but I have some questions about Gun.
My question had to do with glitches. It seems like I ran into two, in the last couple of missions. One was with "Across The Badlands". Not really sure if it was a glitch or not, but I could not find where I was supposed to go to meet up with Soapy. I would ride around in all different directions forever and still not be any closer to where I was supposed to meet him. I eventually got past it by just bringing up the map and clicking on one of the locations.
The second glitch, and it was a definite glitch, was my fight with Dutchie. I went to hide behind some rocks, and I think that I fell in the water. It was like I was in suspended animation, since I could easily shoot anyone I wanted, including Dutchie. They were just riding around in slow motion, without even shooting at me. And I hadn't used Quick Draw either.
Anyone run into either of these situations?

BTW, what are everyone's thoughts on the demo of Lost Planet? I really enjoyed it and can't wait to play the actual game. In any case, I feel I've held off on buying a 360 long enough.

Another guy here who liked GUN. I really did not understand all the hate for the game. The music was great, the landscape was beautiful, and the different things you could do were done well. The graphics could have been way better. But the horse riding in the game is remarkable and way better than horse riding in Oblivion which is a joke mostly.
If I was making a GUN 2, I would obviously make it much bigger. I'd have more animals in it, instead of simply hunting for different colored wolves. I'd have it as an option where you can lasso animals or bad guys running away. I'd prefer where you can actually dig for gold as side missions as opposed to simply pressing a button next to a rock.

Lost Planet is a great game and the multiplayer is a lot of fun too.

Well my Xbox 360 started acting up last night and freezing, this morning I got the dreaded 3 red lights. I called tech support and he put me through the battery of tests. My system was born on 11~25~2005
the box should be here sometime next week, luckily I have the service contract. The waiting is what is killing me I just picked up Lost Planet & Lumines packs are coming this week.

My 360 had been giving me some problems (that I talked about in the dirty disc thread), and has been acting up more and more. I went ahead and went to GameStop today and got my product replacement taken care of, and repurchased for the new box. I know that the Microsoft warranty would cover my problems, however, I'd be without a system for a week or more, and then I'd just get a refurb back from them. At least with GameStop, I get a brand new one (even though it was manufactured before my last one.. June '06 vs. July '06).

I'm currently rolling into my third week as I type this. On my second refurb. It is due to arrive on Wed. Roughly three weeks.
It sucked the first time, but this time around I have a Wii to keep me occupied. I don't mind getting a refurb as long as it looks new and works like it is supposed to.

Man, I'd really like to get a 360, but it seems like so many people have problems with 'em. Haven't had one problem with my Wii. Aren't they supposed to ship with cooler processors soon or something like that? I just don't wanna drop a few hundred bucks on something that's going to be so problematic, especially if a slightly cooler version is being released soon.

When i had to have mine replaced it took a hair under 14 days from the time i called to get it sent back to me. They actually fixed mine and sent it back to me with a new dvd drive and it has worked flawlessly so far.

From: under the stars with a great view of the mountains and a the lovely aroma of cow shit.
Well chalk up another dvdtalker to the red ring of death. I called about 3 days ago and they said they would still fix it even though its after the 1 year period. So i am waiting for my box to get to me so i can send it back.
It all started about 3 months ago when games would just start freezing. Then it started to happen more frequently until i saw the red lights. So i called and they walked me through the system reset but the red lights came on again so i called in and got the service set up.
My system was built on 11-29-05
P.S.
IMO GUN was awesome.

Wow, that's the same date as mine that just died a few weeks ago. Did you get error code 0022 / GPU failure? My games would freeze too, but it was never in the middle of playing. It was always in a menu or while loading a menu.

Here is a nice little synopsis of the Crackdown demo that's coming on Tuesday linked by Major:
Hey Guys - I figured I should give you an update on what you are going to get with the demo.
First off, Crackdown is controlled by three gangs – Los Muertos, The Volk and Shai-Gen Corporation. I pretty sure most of you know that by now. Anyhow, each gang controls a district within Pacific City. For the demo we are going to let you dish out justice in about half of the Los Muertos district. You’ll also have access to the Agency headquarters too, which is where you’ll actually start the game. These two areas combined will give you a huge area to play in and explore, without of course giving the whole game away. You’ll also be able to see the rest of the world, including the Volk and Shai-Gen controlled areas - you just won’t be able to get there during the demo as there is a blueish/clear wall that prevents you from traveling into these areas. There are definitely some killer buildings and areas that I know you are going to want to explore over there, but you’ll have to wait until the full game is out to do that.
Furthermore, we’ve accelerated skills progression in the game. That means it won’t take as long as it does in the full game to get your Agent to higher levels in any of the five core skills. We did this so that you guys could experience what it’s like to ‘level up’ an Agent and thus see the difference between what it’s like to be a rookie Agent vs. a veteran Agent. We also do this because the demo will likely be used at retail kiosks (those stations you see in game shops), where generally people have less time to play the game than they do at home, so we of course want them to ‘get it’ even during a quick, walk-up gameplay session. As you play you’ll be able to level up any of your Agent’s core skills in any fashion you want. So you might decide to go after your driving skill first or perhaps you might try to level them all up evenly. It’s really up to you. Once you get to two stars in any attribute, you’ll have 30 minutes to play before the demo times out. Once it times out, it’s game over. But don’t fret there is plenty of gameplay here. We ran a pre-release version of this demo at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in early January and we were seeing people play for a couple of hours before the game timed out on them. We also saw people max out skills. They had to work hard to do it once the timer kicked in, but it can be done!! Trust me there is a lot of fun to be had here. The length of any given session will of course vary depending on your personal play style. You can never save your game in demos (that’s Microsoft’s policy) so when you restart the demo you’ll start with a rookie Agent again. What’s cool about that is that you can try working on new skills, skills that you might not have gotten to in a previous play session.
As you’ve no doubt heard you can also play this in Singleplayer Mode or in Online Cooperative Mode. One thing you should know - in the full game you’ll be able to join games in progress (meaning you could be playing for a while and then have a friend join you at any time during the game), but for the demo this has been turned this off so if you want to play co-op with a friend you’ll want to send them an invite when you fire up the demo.
There is of course still a huge variety of weapons and vehicles to try out too. The gang boss battles we’ve included are some of our personal favorites as well. Undoubtedly you are in for some good fun. Tuesday is right around the corner…!

Will the demo be up for Silver users also off the bat? Or will this be GOLD then Silver release? My Gold expired and can't bring myself to renew it, due to the fact I rarely do online gaming as of late.
