Excellent new site popped up over on Kotaku: Dashboard Themes
Since Microsoft doesn't allow for theme previews, that site offers pictures of each blade for a particular theme.

Xbox 360 topped US hardware sales chart over Xmas - NPD
Ellie Gibson 10:01 02/01/2007
But Nintendo Wii close behind with 1.8m units sold
Market analysts NPD have suggested that the Xbox 360 was the best-selling console in the US over Christmas - with the Nintendo Wii trailing by just 200,000 units.
According to the firm's preliminary estimates, as reported by CNBC, around 2 million Xbox 360 units were sold in North America from November up until December 25.
The figure for Nintendo Wii stood at 1.8 million units - despite the fact the console only launched in North America on November 19, and the first batch of stock sold out within hours.
Stock shortages were an even bigger problem for Sony. Around 750,000 PlayStation 3 units were sold during the same period.
NPD is expected to release complete figures later this month.

I can't be certain, but it looks like Ms. Pacman tomorrow for the Live Arcade title. Achieve360points got the details today.
It looks like such a rip-off if you already own Pac-Man. The achievements are almost identical.

Looks like no Live Arcade game this week. Oh well guess we get to save those Microsoft points for another week.

Now, I don't know how I'll like playing Ms. Pac-Man using the controller because I'm so used to using the knobby joystick to control her run through the mazes. With the stand-up games, you just got that extra bit of body English when you played the game that is missing with today's handheld controllers.

Quick question - are the component cables for the 360 compatible with the original xbox? I've tried googling to no avail, and when I called the 800 number for the 360, they wouldn't tell me anything unless I gave them personal information and registered my system (Claims he had to "research" the subject...)

360 movie downloads outperforming Amazon rival - report
Matt Martin 15:28 03/01/2007
HD movies via console more popular than e-tailer's Unbox service
The Xbox 360 is driving the concept of digital movie downloads far better than consumer competitor Amazon, as audience's favour ease of use over the amount of content on offer from the world's biggest online retailer.
Microsoft's high definition download service has been more successful than Amazon.com's Unbox effort, with US consumers preferring to watch content directly accessed from the console's hard drive rather than struggle with burning content to discs, according to a report on Variety.com
It's even suggested that box office flops are performing well as downloads over Xbox Live, appealing to consumers eager to access high definition content.
According to the report, studios such as Warner are seeing consumers download high definition versions of films over standard formats where both are on offer, with the average US $1 more for HD content no barrier to purchase.
"If you look at our sales charts, movies like The Perfect Storm, Unforgiven and Swordfish are all doing disproportionately better than you would expect, and the only explanation is that they're available in HD," said Ross Honey, senior director for media at Microsoft's content and partner strategy group.

If Microsoft were smart, they'd start readying some bigger hard drives soon if they want to capitalize off this and let that market grow. Otherwise it'll be like the PSP/UMD debacle where the market dies off after the initial interest dies down.
