Wii or PS3?
I already have a 360.
I want to get either the PS3 or the Wii to add to my collection. I have a 56 JVC HDILA, that I know would benefit from the 1080P of the PS3.
I have never been a huge Nintendo fan, but did enjoy the Gamecube and the Wii looks fun.
Which would you choose, and why?

So many questions you didn't even provide answers for...
Budget?
Type of games you like to play?
Just you playing or are there family/friends that do?
Would you use the PS3 as a blu-ray player?

I would never pick a console based on technology or potential, but games. That's why I still don't have a 360, just nothing there for me yet to justify the cost. PS3 the same, but at a much larger cost:games ratio.
Wii because the cost was reasonable and Wii Sports and Zelda are a winning combination. Saddened that the graphical capabilities are limited, but that doesn't stop games from being fun.

I would suggest a Wii since you already have a 360.
It seems like the best two console combo is either a 360 and Wii or a PS3 and a Wii as that will give you the most variety in gaming.
There will be more overlap in the types of games you can play on the 360 and PS3, while the Wii will offer a lot of unique types of games that won't be found on either of those.
Now, of course that is moot if you don't like Nintendo games, care a lot about having top of the line HD graphics (which the Wii doesn't provide) or don't like the idea of a motion controller.

Considering I had 2 PS3s, and sold them...
I bought a Wii, and have enjoyed it ever since. My 360 feels a bit left out, but too bad for him. He had his chance
but seriously, i find the controls so amusing, not to mention the fact that anyone can play a Wii, and enjoy it as much as everyone else. Right now, I kind of see it as a party system, or something that can maximize your enjoyment with a few friends

The PS3 is a complete joke.

I love my 360 and generally use video games to relax and unwind. I can't see myself playing the Wii and really enjoying the controls right now. If HD-DVD or Blu-Ray matters to you, Blu-Ray is the only reason I picked up a PS3.

If you didn't already have a 360, this would be a more interesting question, but I think given that you do, the Wii will give you a lot more gaming choices. Due to high development costs, I think you're going to see as many cross platform titles as manufacturers can muster, so the difference is really in the exclusives. IMO, nothing really coming for the PS3 blows my mind, so I have to give the edge to Microsoft in that category with Gears, Halo 3 in the pipeline, and a number of others that seem intriguing (Viva Pinata, Fable 2, etc). I don't see any reason YET to double up with the PS3, but I'm sure they'll give us all reason to at least consider it in the next year.
At this juncture, it seems like Wii is the more economical option, and a better one to boot. As stated, it lacks the graphical kick to make your nice HDTV shine, but your 360 can do that just fine, and I'd be shocked if you didn't have a lot of fun with the Wii. Everyone seems to.

Contrarily, though... I've logged quite a few hours of Zelda from the comfort of my couch, sprawled out and reclined, so not every game is an aerobic endeavor. That's a myth that we really need to break people of, I think.

I have the wii60 combo and love it. I got them for the killer ap.
wii - Zelda
360 - Gears of War (and Viva Pinata IMO)
Right now I don't see myself playing anything on the PS3 that is not going to be available on another console.

Just you playing or are there family/friends that do = Usually just me, but the occasional friend or two.
Would you use the PS3 as a blu-ray player? = Yes, I already have the add on for the 360 and love it so I would probably check out the Blu-Ray as well.

You won't be disapointed with either one you choose.
Personally I went the PS3Wii combo simply because I enjoy playing games that I can't play on my PC, especially JRPG's. Most of the 360's library is already available on PC so I think it's pointless to spend $400 on a console when I can play those same games on my PC. But if you don't have a decent PC then you can't go wrong with a 360.
It all really depends on which type of games you enjoy playing. Both consoles are new and probably a year away from seeing a variety of good quality games. If you're going to use the PS3 as a BlueRay player then go ahead and get it because if you were just getting it for gaming, it's not worth it right now.

Since you already have them I would say watch the PS3 and Wii on Ebay and see what kind of profit you could make of either system. Then sell the one that you could get more for and use the profit to purchase games for the others. If I were in your situation I would go for the Wii60 like others have suggested. I haven't had a chance to really play the PS3 but I have played the Wii and it's a blast.
VOTE = Wii + 360, sell the PS3 to someone on here and make sure you add extra to the price for your efforts or Ebay it.

If you already have the 360 it's a total no-brainer, get the Wii.
I don't think the PS3 offers much, if anything, over the 360, especially right now.

There is way too much overlap between the 360 and the PS3 to recommend anyone to own those two first. If you already have a 360, get a Wii. Then get a PS3 next year.

The next Nintendo system will have a built in touch pad just for you
. It'll be a mix of biometrics and touchpad, so you know, it can read how hard you're clutching the controller... and make for a bitchin game of Jeopardy.
Oh yeah, and I'd say go with the Wii -- for now. 1080p on the PS3 is a joke right now, and it is not an upgrade over the 360 for the time being (I'm sure it'll get there.)
Get the HD DVD Addon for your 360 and a Wii and you'll be set for at least a year.
