Is there a master romancer for only each species, or for each derivative of each species?
For example, do I need master romancer for all colors of flutterscotch, ot any on the colors will do?

The only bad thing is that when they mate, they just make a white one (must suck to *always* get albino kids), so you have to feed them the appropriate flower to turn them.

This game would be perfect on a handheld. Like other games like it (Nintendogs, etc.) it works better in multiple short bursts through the day as opposed to a big marathon.

You level up your garden by doing positive things for it.
You can watch your leveling up with the petals around the clock. Each time the petals are all lit up, you gain a level. As you get higher, some petals have blue dots,as the petals all get filled up each time, a dot disappears. When all dots are gone, and the petals are all filled up again, you gain a level.
You'll know you gained a level when leafos tells you your garden is improving.
Each new species that visit gives you a boost.
Each new species that enters your garden gives you a boost.
Each new species that becomes a resident gives you a boost.
Mating two of a species for the first time gives you a boost.
Mating a species five times to get master romancer gives you a boost.
Finding variants and new species from existing species gives you a boost.
Growing flowers and trees gives you a boost.
There are a ton of things that give you experience to gain levels.
I'm currently level 36 or 37 I believe.

1. Get two White Flutterscotches and turn them into the same color (blue, pink, whatever)
2. Have them mate to get the Romancer award.
3. Continually buy more White Flutterscotches from Gretchen using the express service. Also, have Daisies in your garden so that other visiting Flutterscotches will become residents. As soon as you get a new one, turn it into the appropriate color.
4. Once you've got the Master Romancer for that color, sell off all but one of them. If you have 3 differently colored Flutterscotches in your garden, you can attract a

Hope that helps.

Wow, this game is very addicting. I just started tonight and played for like 3 hours straight. I've just been tinkering with things but I have found that in the short time with the game I have been running out of room between houses, plants and pinatas.
Question though.... My wife is very interested in the game. Is it possible to have two seperate gardens on the same Xbox? The game said something about sharing level/money or something like that? I don't want to screw up what i've started by tinkering around with it if it doesn't work like that. Any help would be appreciated!

Yup that is what I did, I have a 2nd gamertag for the 2nd garden.
I was thinking about selling off everything in one garden and just grow cash crops, and use another garden for pinatas.

Thanks. The game throws so much at you so early and so fast. It is definitely more challenging than I thought it would be.

The game is fun but I've sort of hit a wall. I can't get any new species to come and all I can breed is those stupid worms, which get eaten. After a while I can sell a couple of them and make 400 bucks but by then I've probably spent that money on healthcare or a few vegetables.
I feel like I'm playing Ayiti: The Cost of Life.

I found myself just slowly working my way up the food chain. Breed the worms to get Master Romancer. Then start on sparrows and fudgehogs. Now i'm working on mice, frogs, and flies. I'm ignoring the newts for now.
I did have a horse wandering the outside of the garden and really wish i could figure out how to entice him into the thing and get him - he looked cool.
