well damn, that's too much for me. I can see it doing alright, though

ok, ok, I made a funny lol excuse me what I meant was that you will be able watch the movie in a 24 hour period once you start it. Or keep it on your hd drive up to 2wks till it expires. :nopanic: I think that makes sense I guess.

Granted they aren't in 720p, but for cost, I'm not too worried about it. I may try it out once just to see, but I don't forsee them getting repeat business from me. |
I'd rather pay $20 a month for unlimited rentals.
|
it would be nice for a lot of people to abstain right away, to see if it would drive down the cost
|
Yeah the 24 hours thing sucks. It would take me all day to download a 6 gig file. Then I can't even check it to see if it works and what the quality is like until I'm ready to watch it? Thats BS. It should be valid for as many viewings as you want for 2 weeks. Heck even 1 week would be better than 24 hours.
|
Surprisingly, I can download a larger file from Live than I would if I were doing a direct Internet download. I've downloaded several demos in less than an hour, that would take me much longer to do on my computer.

Do you get to keep the tv episodes? we need a bigger hard drive

Yes you can keep them. Microsoft's solution is once you purchase a tv show and have viewed it. You can delete it and re download it anytime you want at no extra charge. I guess it's somehow tied in with your live account. |

Thats cool being able to keep the shows. Is there a way though to send certain things to another harddrive? There has to be a workaround. Im not trying to steal the movie rentals but if we can keep the TV shows I should be able to put them elsewhere. I probably wont use this much but this is a very cool feature making me even more pleased that for now, Im strictly with 360 this generation.

So here in Canada, no shows or movies for us. Does anyone know if we will ever get the chance to be included in this stuff?
|
Has anyone been able to download with success? I started a movie download 4 hours ago, and it's still at 5%. Brutal. MSFT did reimburse my points however for the delay
|
Well I did download 2 episodes of Punk'd but it took me about 6 hours.
|
Hey guys there's a decent deal for the 2K sports Basketball games at buy.com. You can go through Google checkout with the $30 off $50 deal and get NBA 2K7 or College Hoops 2K7 for $36.38. I'm thinking about biting on College Hoops.

When you called MSFT, what did they tell you? |
Yeah if it is new I wouldn't even mess with MS, I'd take it back and get another one.

GBP 1 million worth of Xbox 360s hijacked in the past week Matt Martin 11:50 24/11/2006 Two separate incidents see trucks full of 360s stolen Thieves have stolen over GBP 1 million worth of Xbox 360s in two separate hijacking incidents in the Midlands, UK. A lorry load of Xbox 360s, worth GBP 750,000 was stolen on Wednesday, while a separate incident saw a truck with GBP 260,000 worth of consoles hijacked just days earlier, according to the Express and Star. Road freight crime is an ongoing problem in the UK, and costs the economy up to GBP 1 billion per year. Thieves are known to slash curtain-sided articulated lorries to steal goods or to trick drivers into pulling over before stealing the entire vehicle and threaten violence. Police believe the Xbox 360s will be sold off cheap to punters looking for a pre-Christmas bargain. "They are in high demand and cost between GBP 200 and GBP 300," said Peter Stevens, spokesperson for Staffordshire Police. "We are appealing for information from anyone offered them in suspicious circumstances, such as in a pub, at a car boot sale or off the back of a lorry." Bastards! Chris |
