Anyone know how to get a headset working that apparently isn't working?

Sorry I ignored the multiple invites tonight guys, UncleGramps and I were going through GOW co-op on hardcore and it was too hard to pull away from. That game is amazing, especially with two people. We played through 3 acts straight! So, I should be back on later tonight and tomorrow for other multiplayer stuff.

Oh and Gramps great game man! Let me know if you want to continue and finish the game. I'm up for it. If so, I'll leave it alone so we can start where we left off.

It's not the headset. There's a problem with Gears where if you enter a player match midmatch, via invite, then you can hear them but they can't hear you. The only way is to enter it before the first match starts, as far as I know.

That's a weird setup, but at least we got in some more hours of solid gaming afterwards. Again, if anyone sees me online and wants to play GoW co-op or vs, send me an invite.

Definitely some good solid gaming. We'll have to do that with the other DVD Talkers later.

I'm down for some Gears goodness. Played mp for the first time last night, and I gotta say the game is super fun with friends.

Yeah, it was pretty awesome. They are not kidding when they call it Hardcore difficulty - some parts of Act 3 were brutal! I'm definitely up for continuing co-op mode with you, but I think I need a max of 1 act at a time. My wife was not happy with my marathon late-night gaming session.

And I have to try out out multiplayer again sometime, especially now that I have more of an idea how everything works.

I completely agree, I was so burned out after last night. We can even cut it shorter and only do a few chapters at a time too. But it was fun!

I was running into some of the mic problems myself, and I do believe it was mid-match people that joined.

What didn't make sense is that when a match would end, and you would wait in the lobby area, not everyone could hear the person. This happend about 4 times, to 4 different people yesterday.

Tonight is COD3 night. I was chatting with tbird about having time to just learn the maps. So tonight is a learn the map night for COD3!

So if I "accidentally" shoot one of you guys during the exploration, that's ok?

So was there a decision made on official GoW night(s)?

It would be nice to have one, I've seen people playing mostly everyday. In fact, we played yesterday night (love killing with the chainsaw). Either way, let's make it Tuesday or Thursday... or both.

Every night should be COD3 night. Last night I was with a group of people playing capture the flag and the battles were amazing. Armor support. Air strikes. Flags going back and forth between sides. Both sides were maxed out. I think that's 12 per side isn't it? People were actually working as a team as opposed to just running around shooting people. It was epic. I went back and played COD2 for a little bit and it's dog shit in comparison.

COD3 multiplayer is awesome, but I like switching between that and GoW multiplayer. They have very different styles of play, but I really enjoy both of them. I'm sure both games will remain popular on Live for a long time to come.

i have yet to even try CoD3 online yet. It seems like a much steeper learning curve, as far as the online mode is concerned

I ready for some COD3 action tonight for sure. My only request is that we play at least one free-for-all deathmatch so that everyone can hear each other talk. The game is just not the same without hearing Exodous Prime scream "Oh you!!!" after you take him out.

As always I'm up for a game as well.

I may not play tonight. I have a buddy coming over and we will probably watch the game. We may be on live, but he'll likely want to see Gears of War and CoD3 and how they play.

I vote for Tuesday nights being GoW nights. Mainly because I have Wednesday off so I can stay up late playing it. But I don't have nor do I plan on getting COD3, so I would like at least one official GoW night, because I will gladly play that.

No problem, those games were a blast. We were all pretty evenly matched too which kept it intresting. Sorry we couldn't hear you though. I read that if someone joins while a game is aleady in progress, then the other players can't hear them. It's very odd.

Which is weird, b/c some of the other guys could hear me on the other team in the menu.
