This reminds me of my days sleeping out for concert tickets in the '80's. I was always in the first 5 in line, and always grabbed great seats, none of which I scalped. There was always someone there that was going to sell some tickets, which is what is happening with consoles today. Somewhere around 1990, every concert ticket retailer in the area was no longer allowed to have people 'sleep-out' for tickets, and at 9:00 a.m., they would randomly give out numbers to everyone that was in line. The person that got there at 8:55 had just as much chance of getting great seats as the person that was there at 10:00 the night before, which totally shot the 'first come, first serve' theory in the ass. I would like to see this be done with console systems. No preorders, just a crap-shoot. Say Walmart has 50 systems, everyone in line gets a ticket, and all the ticket stubs from the tickets that were handed out get thrown into a bucket, and 50 are randomly picked out (by a hot chick in a bikini), and there are your 'winners'.

Delivery confirmation is not enough for paypal seller protection, you need a signature.
Insurance is for your protection, not the buyer, and it depends on the carrier. Postal service, I doubt they would reimburse you for your final auction price, no matter if you paid for $1,500 worth of insurance. They'd probably only cover the actual cost of the PS3. Fed-ex & UPS, don't know their policy.

I have two thoughts about this:
1. The idea that EB, which is only in business because of used games, would tell anyone what they can do with their pre-order slip is, well, very EB of them.
2. The Gotta-Have-It-At-Launch-No-Matter-What-And-Will-Pay-A-Premium-To-Get-It people are the problem here. They're the reason scalpers exist, why launch games are overwhelmingly bad, and why companies like MS or Sony have no problem shipping defective hardware.

Why do I have a feeling there is going to be alot of pissed off people come launch day at all the EB's in the US? I mean not just pissed off people...furious people. Maybe even some riots..I hope they have police there to help, this is going to be a ugly event..

Of the remaining 17 people. I'd say half of them were getting the system for themselves.
The others, and the ones that pissed me off, were getting a system to sell on ebay. One or two of them said they actually have people in 2 or 3 other stores waiting to get a system to put them all on ebay. One guy said that he didn't even want the system, he just wanted his 4 pre-orders to make some cash.

So "cool new members" spouting off how they got 3 systems to put on ebay isn't going to make you a lot of friends around here. So enjoy your money, just don't expect a warm welcome around here.

Who said I was trying to
? I came to this site for my own personal enjoyment. If anyone refuses to "befriend" anyone based on an arbitrary decision, such as pre-ordering a few systems, then they are the ones that are exposing their true character.
