My friend brought a 360 yesterday. As in the other thread, his 360 was DOA. He was disappointed, so I bought over my 360 so he could play some GOW.
I went to the restroom while he finished hooking up my 360. When I came back, he was playing GOW. I thinking oh no, I asked, "did you just start a new game?" He said, "yes." 8-10 hours on hardcore just went down the drain. There are worst things that could happen, I guess. Spoiler:
|
yea, you were real close to the end
|
no thats a little over half way through
|
Yeah that is a little over halfway. But you didn't actually loose any of your progress. Just load the checkpoint that you were on and select the hardcore difficulty. The whole continue option is just a convenience that means very little. There is a little indicator next to the act checkpoints that show what difficulty you beat it on.
|
That is the end of Act 3. There are 5 acts (based upon the achievement list).
|
You didn't lose anything, just do the Select Chapter bit and start your game where you left off. Each section of the game is individually marked (marked = you beat it on hardcore, not marked = you beat it on casual.) so you can pickup exactly where you left off.
And yeah, you still have a long way to go. |

Well I got my first taste of co-op last night thanks to DVDVampire. I was already one step away from getting on the train when we hooked up on HC. I have to say if the rest of co-op gaming can be this fun then why bother single play anything. We're going co-op on Insane from start and it's brutal.

Cog tags are pretty easy to find. Just look for the red skull logo and the tags are nearby. I just finished up the set of 30 last week.
|
I've managed 17 so far on my first run through, and I still have acts 4-5 to go.

I don't think this is spoiler material, but just in case... Spoiler:
But I played a little more the other night and it seemed like I was enjoying the level design more. |
I beat act 3 on insane with a random player last night. I haven't had to wait longer than 2 minutes to get a partner, but that could be because I only play on insane

Shit. Ok, I guess that's wear I screwed up. I didn't look for the skulls. Also, FUCK Spoiler:
I love this game but it's really pissing me off. I thought I was going to try a harder setting after finishing but the frustration concerning the above is giving me a headache so i may just put it away for month or two if I finish my current game. |
i just head shot him a lot with the sniper rifle :/
