Deathmatch is not my favorite style of multiplayer. I don't know if CoD2 has any co-op, or if you guys play co-op.

COD2 is deathmatch, team deathmatch, CTF, headquarters and, search and destroy. It does not have a coop mode and is limited to 8 players at a time. It's the best online multiplayer game on the 360 IMO, until next month that is.

See, I prefer Ghost Recon for multiplayer. But I'll have to try and get in on some of your games.

Supposedly, both the Project 8 demo, and the XBLA version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 are showing up for some people (not me). They're not under new releases, but under Game Demos/By Genre/Sports, and Live Arcade/By Genre/Coin-Op Classics, repsectively.

Major Nelson said that they are working to get this fixed as soon as possible so that everyone may enjoy.

Well I see the Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 advert on the dashboard, but when I click it all it says is more info. I'm going back to bed till they fix it.

Wow, new arcade game on a Saturday. Perhaps a response to the Lumines backlash.

I'll get a review up ASAP if it ever shows up on Marketplace for me.

The featured download is showing UMK 3 but when I select it there is nothing to download. I am not seeing Tony Hawk either. This has been a rough week for Live.

When i log into xbox live the thing locks up on me. Still the green lights, and i can move between blades while logging in but as soon as i get the popup (signed in to Xbox Live) the screen freezes, the popup never goes away and i can't do anything - i need to actually turn it off at the main unit. Anyone else having an issue?

edit: After trying about 4-5 times it finally logged in with no problems. I blame the update.

I am sad though i can't re-download the PSU open beta. I never could get into the server to try it out.

Just download UMK3 and Tony Hawk. Once you go to play UMK3 you are signed out of live, so I guess online play is out for now.

Hrm, if that is the case i definately won't buy the full game then. I was really looking forward to playing this hting online against you guys. I hope it is just a glitch right now and it has online play.

edit: it might be something just with the demo version because the menu says play against your friends on Live.

Has anyone bought the game and seen if it disconnects you with the full version?

It does disconnect with the full version. I download UMK and Tony Hawk this morning and Lumines yesterday. Now if they would only release Contra early, I had that game so memorized as a child I could beat it with one guy. We'll have to see how memory fades.

I also had a message from EBGames yesterday saying that since i reserved Gears of War i was invited to a preview of the game tonight from 9-10 at one of their stores. I'm going to call this afternoon to get more details and see if it is a hands on preview or if it is just a chance to see footage. Anyone else get this call? I reserved the collectors edition if it matters.

You should go to that. You get a card with codes for a free GoW picture pack and Live theme.

ok .. I suck at MK just as I did when it first came out ... Are the moves the same as the original? looks like I'm gonna need a paper with the fatalities, babalities, and friendship moves.

Unfortunately i don't think i'm going to be able to make it even though a code for some pictures would be very cool. My in-laws are coming in this evening from the other side of the state and my wife really wants me to be around to visit with them. I called and they said it was only a video of gameplay footage so i might not be missing too much. There is a chance i'll be able to convince my father-in-law though that he really wants to come see this cool game Then maybe i'll get two cards.

dont care for tony hawk demo, the new thing when you click on the thumbsticks and it zooms in on your board in slow motion is hard to use. graphics are alittle better though

They did a nice job on the UMK3 port haven't played it online, but the game controls well (no lag that I noticed) and looks very nice all things considered, even when stretched to 16:9.

UMK3 is great, I just wish that I can remember all the moves. I end up just doing upper cuts and those goofy quick punches all the time. Is there a list somewhere with the moves?
