A few of the changes sound like good ideas. Frag grenades are overpowered in CoD2 - but i would hate to see their entire utility stripped. This is a game where you don't have shields so they ought to be fatal - just perhaps have a smaller radius for gameplay reasons. The trench gun, while one of my fav weapons, did need weakened. That thing in CoD2 could kill someone with one hit from 20 feet away which is really overpowering.

in one of the earlier game videos showed the trenchgun killing someone at 50 feet so im glad they dulled it down a bit.

All the places around me won't get this until Thursday. I really don't understand why the video game just can't street their stuff on Tuesday like everybody else. Is it really that hard to do?

Seriously ?? I got my yesturday morning, and I'm located in Canada. We usually get the games a day or two later than average.

I played it for around 20 minutes last night, and so far it's great. The mechanics are the same as the first, but the graphics are a little sharper. Sound is also great just like part II. It's hugely immersive. The first mission is already a HUGE battle.

Stopped by Best Buy last night to look for some Blu-Rays and took a peek over at teh games section. Plenty of FEAR's, but no early COD3 :(. Guess I'll make another trip today!

Yep, they said that they would have it for sure by Thursday and that was when I should check back. They told me they might get GOW today (Wednesday). I guess that there is a chance they might get COD3 in today, but they did not want a bunch of people to return and still have it be on a truck somewhere. So they were just telling everyone Thursday.

No Kill-cam makes me very sad!

No kill-cam?! That is a critical blow in my opinion to toning down the sniper class. I may be ditching medic for scout i guess if it is going to look that powerful: no kill cam and artillery strikes.

I gotta say the first level of COD3 really throws you into some serious stuff. I was out of practice and kinda hurried around the level. Needless to say I didn't make it to the end of the level. The graphics certainly look much better than last year. Can't wait to get home and play it more.

Damn this game is harder to find than GOW, I just called gamestop and there saying tomorrow now.

FYI - Just got back from Best Buy.. They had a buttload of copies of both CoD3 and GoW.. They didn't have any of the COD3 w/ free "The Longest Day" dvd in yet so I just got the game... Giddy up!!

That's because of everyone pre-ordering multiple copies of gears to get the shirts. I think my final tally was 6. I tossed them on ebay and made $100 profit on them. Not to mention I also got 6 of the 1600 point cards out of it as well. They're going to have a bunch of extra copies. :lol:
