I just went and did the GoW deal at Best Buy and I grabbed the last 1600 point card. I had picked up PGR3 on Sunday and got the $4.99 card but the Gears deal is too good to pass up.

Yeah, that same guy hit the point limit apparently. The system won't allow you to enter more than 12,000 points.
I picked up two today. One with a Gears preorder and one with a FEAR preorder(free bonus disc). They had to manually adjust the one for FEAR.
I also did the true.com signup, that seemed to have worked, I should get 1600 more in a week or so.

Shagrath (and a few others) already mentioned this, but I wanted to reiterate that the Best Buy deal is fantastic if you go with the Gears of War pre-order. You can pretty much get free points with the way the pre-order shirts are selling on eBay. I see them going for about $10 average right now, which covers the cost of the pre-order and the 1600 point card. I picked up 5 (4 to sell and 1 to keep for myself - it's not a bad t-shirt), and I'm about to list 'em on eBay now. Even if you don't want to deal with eBay, you can get the shirt and 1600 points for $10, which is still a nice deal.

Grabbed the last pre-order copy of GOW tonight at my local BB and got my second $5 card, got the other one a few days ago with Tomb Raider. This is such an awesome deal.

once my True.com point card arrives, it will put me at 7,600 points.... almost enough for Lumines Live.

Funny you mention that. After I loaded up my 6400 points last night, I thought to myself, "I could get Lumines now." I opted to get Galaga and Wik instead, and save the rest for upcoming original games like Small Arms and Castle Crashers.

Yep. Even with plenty of cheap points now, I'm still not giving into the Lumines bullshit.
Wik was a solid purchase. Not a whole lot of replay value, but I think once through and going for all the achievements was worth the money.

And a reminder for those who haven't taken advantage of the Best Buy deal yet - tomorrow is the last day for that offer.

I played the demo. It was pretty cool, I was just hesitant at the $10 price. I bought Feeding Frenzy, and that was definitely not worth $10. Now that I have a ton of points though, I'm almost certain I'll get CC. I'll add you to my list shagrath.

Cloning Clyde is well worth the $10. There's at least 8 hours of gameplay in there, if I remember correctly.
I went to BB today and picked up Test Drive Unlimited and Saint's Row. I got two $10 gift cards, so I got two $5 coupons. Then I got 3200 points for $10. Saved myself about $40.
I play buy every Arcade game and I'm hesitant about UMK3 and Lumines. I finally got Lumines knowing it wouldn't really cost me $75 and I may get UMK3.

Does anyone know how the BB pre-order works? I picked up the Gears of War pre-order today with the points, but there wasn't much to say on the receipt that I pre-ordered it. Do I bring in the receipt, receipt and box, other?
There wasn't anything in the box, so that is why I was wondering. Thanks.
EDIT: Nevermind, I found the answer a couple posts down: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=481781

Thanks for the tip on the BB GoW deal. I went and bought three of them for $30, and will stick the shirts on eBay. I've already used some of my points for Lumines and the extra pack (I hated doing it, but hey, the points will end up about free for me) and I also used some more points for Cloning Clyde.

I picked up one today with GoW. I'll just NOT pick up my pre-order and get my $5 back. I picked up the last one at the Roseville, MI BB. I may try again tomorrow at another for another card. I opened the shirt....it was ok, not as tacky as some. Will make a decent undershirt. Not a bad deal....I think I'll have close to 8000 points, as I have spent VERY little as I'm hesitant to "waste" them on something I don't want. Maybe I'll get Lumines.

two weeks ago when they started this T-shirt thing, I bought two and flipped them on ebay for $30 each.
Anyway, I took the receipts back last night and got them to sell me two point cards for $5 each(price match the current ad). I also picked up one more each of GOW and FEAR for two more cards. This deal was just too good to not take advantage.
So my final total on my machine is 6200(bought Clyde last night for 800) + another 5 unopened cards for another 8000.
What would be sweet was if the fall update incorporated the "supposed" real items for sale, like memory cards, controllers, headsets, even the HDDrive. 14,200 points are worth $177 in real money, it would be cool to pick up the headset or HD drive for next to nothing.
BTW, Clyde is cool. Played through all the level one stages. It reminds me a lot of the original Castle Wolfenstein for the Commodore 64. Your character starts out at Point A and you have to navigate the board to get to the exit. Good stuff.
The humor is great too. "get along little doggie"

There were a good number of extras at both of my local BBs, so if you want, I could pick up a GoW pre-order and 1600 point card and ship it to you (at cost, not to make a profit or anything).
As for other preorders that might work, scratch COD3 off the list. I tried it when I found out they didn't have GOW.

I ran into this same issue trying to get the multiplayer achievement...luckily you don't have to be on LIVE to get it. Just do local multiplayer, turn on one other controller and set them on the opposite team...right after you start the match you'll get the achievement.
Btw, Cloning Clyde definitely isn't 8hrs if you're just playing single player. I'd say more like 4-5max.
