I put this on our PS2 today at work and it's a really cool game. It feels like GTA, but you're more involved in the world, so it's much more immersive. Oh, and there's no killing or blowing stuff up, of course.

I'm hoping our review copy hasn't been grabbed yet. If it has, I may have to buy the game when a used one comes in.

Halloween is awesome... I'm keeping a game save set aside just for it.

Spoiler:
Everyone is in costume, and there are no authority figures anywhere except for the girl's dorm and the library. Plus there is no timer. It's a perfect time to break into lockers, scour areas for collectible items, and just screw around in general. Plus I love the special holiday tasks... (x/27 pumpkins smashed!!!!) I hope there are other holiday events like this.

ha ha.

The worst part of the whole thing is it's not the scariest part. That would have to be the scary looking she-male that weighs like 300 pounds in that scary outfit - that's way too tight. Guess a properly sized uniform wasn't part of her financial aid package.

Oh, Jack already knows:

Dont' see what the big deal is, though, you can do that and much more in the Sims and Sims 2, and that's rated T.

from the gamespot link:

Thompson addressed ESRB president Patricia Vance in an e-mail he claimed to have sent to "every major news organization in America and the UK," as well as a host of lawmakers and industry representatives.
Is this guy retarded or what? He doesn't like the game, so he's going to give it some free worldwide publicity?!?!

Well, if he can attach enough of a "gay game" stigma to it, then there certainly is a percentage of the population who would think twice before buying it.

There was just a report on Fox News about this game. It report was about a school district in Florida warning parents about the game because critics say that it could inspire the kind of violence seen in the Columbine incident. In the report, they intercut scenes from the GTA series into it. The goal is to give the game a "M" Rating to make sure no one over 18 years old can buy it. It's just more of the same sort of crap.

During the report they had different stats on the screen:

-Average game player is 33 years old

-Average game buyer is 40 years old

-2005: 85% of games sold rated "E"

Years from now, there will come a day where video games are viewed in the same way as other forms of entertainment, and all of this crap will be looked back on as pure stupidity, by just about everyone of all ages.

I hate ignorant politicians and news people that blow this stuff way out of proportion. How can they get away with showing GTA footage and saying it it footage from Bully. That is libel in my opinion. There aren't even guns in Bully; the closest thing is a slingshot. Is some kid going to go on a killing spree with a slingshot?

Sure I do believe that some people can watch a movie or play a game and end up taking it too seriously. These people have serious mental problems that originated long before viewing the movie or playing the game though. They were pretty much destined to snap sometime. 99% of the population will never act out a movie or game related crime.

They didn't say that the GTA clips were from Bully, they did mention GTA. My point is that you could tell that they were doing so, just to make Bully look that much worse. They didn't just stick the clips in there though without mentioning GTA.

I'm picking this up next week for the 360. I sold my PS2 before this ever came out and wanted to play it ever since. The achievements look like a lot of fun.

IGN just gave it a 8.7: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/856/856138p1.html

Looking forward to getting this when it's a bit cheaper, I'll have to look through some reviews and figure out if I should get the 360 or Wii version.

Same thing for me, so I look forward to giving this version a spin. Should be a nice warm-up for GTA.

By the time the PS2 version of Bully had come out, I was already basically just buying original Xbox games, so I'm definitely going to get the 360 version.

I bought this yesterday. The game looks like fun, it's something different from all the games in the Xbox 360. I think I can spend more than 40 hours playing it.

The graphics are one of the worst I've seen in the Xbox 360, but I don't care about that. I do care about the loading times, that's killing the game for me.

Ugh, I may change my free game then to Burnout or something, everyone I know is saying the loading times are unbearable.
