Damn. Major Nelson is a tease. I got a notice he posted a new entry and I got all excited. I click the link to find out they are almost ready to go back online but have a few issues they are finishing up.

I can't tell what they added, gamewise. The only noticeable differences are:
-Lumines (just the main game, don't see the extra pack yet)
-New Prey multiplayer characters & maps (convinces me to blow the dust off it)
And that's it! Grrr...

Still playing, and I hate to multiple post but I have to vent.
I bought the base game for 1200 points, and it really seems like a trial. It seems like you have to purchase a whole different pack for each mode. You need one for Vs. CPU mode (you can play the first stage, but that's it). You have to purchase a pack for puzzle/mission modes too (they let you try the first five only), and of course you have to purchase the Advance challenge pack for the extra skins.
My god.

I know what you mean, Pizza. This 1200 point game seems somewhat crippled without shelling out the extra 1300 points required for the rest of the content.

That is what I thought.
1200 points for the game. Then 600 more for the add-on pack, which wasn't up as of 6:30am EST today.
Total of 1800. Is there more content that will be there that we aren't aware of?

There are 3 extra packs guys. The Advanced Pack only includes the Advanced challenge mode (Video in the background & 20+ skins). The Mission / Puzzle pack includes the remaining 45 levels for those two modes (only 5 levels in each are unlocked). Finally, the Versus CPU Pack includes the remaning 9 levels in that mode (only 1 level is unlocked).
Basic Game: 1200 Points
Advanced Pack: 600 Points
Mission / Puzzle Pack: 400 Points
Versus CPU Pack: 300 Points
That's a total of 2500 points or $31.75. Also, none of these packs are available on Marketplace at the moment.

It sounds like there will be multiple packs for each of the modes which might need more than the 400 point purchase.

If I'm spending that much on a game, it better be a fully released disc, case type game.
And that is a hell of a lot more points then what we were originally told.
When the game hit the news in the past, we were told 1200 points + 600 points.

Actually it has always been 3 transactions. I think the Advance Pack is a wild card and the new charge. I've kept my eye on it and price was always around $25. The extra 600pts would account for the new total.
No way in hell am I paying $30+ for a game I don't physically own. There will be no reason for them not to put this on a disc and sell it down the road. I'll wait for that one.

Way to go, corporate greed! It makes sense if there are fully licensed songs though.

Extra 1300? I thought it was 1800 total.
