Order either an Xbox 360 or Xbox 360 Core system during the month of October, and we'll throw in a pre-order of either of Microsoft's highly anticipated titles, Gears of War or Viva Piņata as a free thank you gift. Gears of War and Viva Piņata are $59.99 and $49.99 values and will be released this coming November.

1) next day shipping
2) do not call to verify order
3) do not post at FW or CAG
You'll thank me later.

I recently just purchased an xbox 360 last week at circuit city. Runs great but it sure gets hot like i read about. Is it normal? I hear different things that it isnt suppose to get hot on the side or top but the air can get hot in the (back vent).
With my 360 it gets very hot on the top or side ( i lay it horizontal) and the in the back where the vent is. If its normal great. If not i suppose i could exchange for another since i just bought it.( and yes i bought the extended warrenty but lets not cross that bridge unless i have to) My worse fear of course is i exchange it for a dud when the original one would of been fine. This may be old news for most but i just jumped on the bandwagon.

It's hot, just keep it well ventilate, i.e. off the carpet, not in small enclosed space, etc. I have had mine since launch without any problems. Although, since MS extended the warranty period, I am sorta hoping something happens in the next few weeks..

Keep the power supply elevated and put the console in an open area. If you do that, you shouldn't have any problems with it overheating, unless your house gets quite hot during the summer.

Whats on the schedule for release tomorrow?
ANy updates on Totemball? I caved and bought the camera. Haven't used it yet. I hooked it up once to test it. The picture looked a bit grainy. Though it may have been the lighting in the room.

I gave up on Totemball. Cancelled my camera pre-order and tossed the money down on Call of Duty 3 instead. It really bums me out - i had high hopes i was going to get Eyetoy games for my 360.

Barring an electricity blackout, I'll have a review up in the morning for anyone interested.
When the ancient Ptolmec tribe simultaneously discovered gunpowder and barbeque, the explosive results scattered their musical totems across the jungle! Now Pterry the Pturtle must roll over mountains, cross islands, scale pyramids, and battle giant pinball games to retrieve the lost totems and bring music back to the party.

Wait... so you were going to get a camera/totemball instead of the next FPS game to play with us? Its one or the other?? Maybe if you taught in the inner city theyd pay you a lot more so you could buy all the games you wanted

Totemball is up now. I downloaded it, now I just need the camera. I launched the game just for the hell of it, and for some reason I get logged off of Live when the game launches, and I get signed back in as soon as I exit.

Just downloaded. It's not stopping me, but I do have a camera.
First impressions, it's very much like an EyeToy version of Super Monkey Ball, or even Katamari Damacy. You hold both arms up to go straight, pull one arm down to rotate that way, or have both lowered to go in reverse. It's simple, but not exactly fun. I don't like it.
The pinball mode is moderately entertaining, then it gets boring. It's nothing that can't be done with a push of the A button. Instead, you have to wave your arm about. Eh.
This doesn't mean future games won't be good, it's just this concept isn't.
Oh well, it was free, I guess.
