Question on Multiplayer, how many people does this allow? Is it strictly one on one or can you have multiple people play? That's what I loved about the older maddens when you could have two on two. I'm hoping it's similar here.

On the 360 version, since you can't play 2 players on the same team on the same console, I imagine you can't play 2 players on the same team over Live either.

The more I play this game, the more it feels weird. I guess I got used to NCAA 07 for the 360, and the control on that seems great. Madden seems to have a delay or something. Still a good game, but the control seems a bit off....is it just me?

I notice that the defensive backs still stand there like idiots and let the recievers catch passes all day. They also still drop 95% of passes that are sure interceptions. When will they ever fix this?

The game is cheap.
I HATE the AI.
Last night I was playing Colts v. Jets on the third difficulty (not standard, not all-Madden). I always play with the Colts, I live in Indianapolis. The Colts fumbled the ball 4(!) times in the first quarter while the Jets D became the 85 Bears.
I think I'm decent at the game. I read my receivers and check down to those who are open or in single coverage and then try to use the left stick to place the ball away from the defender (i.e., if the defender is outside, I throw inside). To me, this is the ideal way to play the game. I had no less than 4 balls bounce off Marvin Harrison's hands/chest/helmet and at least 3 off of Reggie Wayne's hands/chest.
Is that really fair?
The game is not a football simulator. On the harder difficulty levels you just have to play so well that you can overcome the AI cheating.
I agree that it's somewhat better online, but I don't always have 90 minutes to devote to a game online.
Anyone else think the single player is complete BS??

I'm not having any issues too much with "cheap AI" on the 360 version, and I'm the Lions. Only a few dropped balls. I have it on the difficulty just below All-Madden also.
They REALLY need to fix fatigue though, no fatigue is getting lame.

EA cannot even get Fatigue right, so I doubt we'll see real-time stats. I'm still waiting on a patch, the game just seems like garbage when you can run your RB 10 times in a row and not tire.

Apparently there is a Fatigue patch out there now....however, it still does not work that well according to people on Operation Sports forums....
Players only get subbed out VERY RARELY.....which is better than before.

How do you get the real time scores to scroll on the bottom of the screen. When the game starts it aways says "failed to connect to EA servers" on the bottom of the menu screen.

I had just been playing the computer lately and have not had an online game yet. I tried yesterday morning but everytime I tried to get a game started with someone it said something like you must be connected to EA servers or you've been disconnected. I was never signed out of XBOX Live and I have an extremely reliable cable connection. Any ideas? I'm on the 360 version.
I could connect to enter the lobby but once I got ready to play a game, it says you are disconnected.

360 version question: Maybe I'm missing something but sometimes when I choose a passing play where the receiver has the option of running a route in one of a few directions on some occasions the route is flipped the opposite way when I hold down R1 pre-snap and the receiver then runs the route in that opposite direction. This happens to me sometimes and then it goes back to normal later in the game. Am i pressing some button on the playcalling menu? This isn't the flipping of an entire play in the opposite direction just the route of one receiver when he has an option of going in different directions.

Yes, hot routes are in the game....they work the same way as before I believe. Select your receiver, hit Y and pick a direction.
The game plays a little better lately, although the fatigue issue is still not totally cleared up. NCAA got it right....Madden is still lacking even AFTER the update.
