Here is the deal:
ob: Hi, can I help you?
you: Hello. I was on google and saw there was a coupon code for $10 off a $20 purchase
you: I'm trying to use the code at checkout, but it won't allow me to use it
Bob: You have to make the purchase though the GOOGLE login.
you: I clicked on the link to take me to the your site. How is that any different?
you: It is giving me an error that says "General Error: Shopping Cart" or something like that
Bob: Well, you need to click the Google Checkout button.
you: it is telling me it is not available
you: the item is over $20, which appears to be the only restriction
Bob: Are you logged into your DVDEmpire account?
you: Yes
Bob: Okay. You can't be. The order has to be through google separately.
Bob: This is a brand new feature. I know it's a bit confusing.
you: I see my name at the top of the page
Bob: We just learned about it this morning.
you: It says "Welcome back Christopher Cross"
you: meaning that I am logged in, right?
Bob: YEs. You need to log out. The Google order won't be inside your regular account, if you want to use the coupon.
you: Oh, I get it now. The button is now working.
you: but now it's trying to get me to login to my account
you: i can't proceed past the order page w/o logging in or creating an account
Bob: You need to create a separate "Google" account.
you: ok, so create an entirely new account w/ my google information?
Bob: Yeah. On the Google checkin.
you: this is too confusing, but i'll try entereing new information as a new account
you: thank you
Bob: The coupon code box will be on the Google checkout screen, not on the regular page from us that you're used to. The Google checkout screen will look entirely different.
you: ok, thank you
[Edit] It still isn't working right, though. It won't allow you to add the coupon code unless you are logged into your account for DVDEmpire. So, one thing will work, but not the other.[Edit]

1. You don't have to be logged into DVD Empire. I don't even have an account there.
2. The coupon is entered after you log into your Google Checkout account, not before.

Nevermind. I found it under the price at checkout. But, it wasn't there before, so that's why it wouldn't work.

So, what am I doing wrong?
I'm at https://checkout.google.com/main
I then click 'stores that accept Goggle Checkout
I copy the code 1167311 for DVD Empire
I then click on the DVD Empire link
I already have the 1600 points in my cart
I go to View Order
I paste in the code in Enter Promo Code
I add it and then get this error 'Shopping Cart - General Error ' at least 10x
Are these the right steps and the coupon is not working anymore?
Thanx Chris

You need to click on the link that says "Google Checkout" at the DVDEmpire Shopping Cart page. That is where you check out and enter the coupon code at.
Also, as someone else already said, you need to make sure you aren't logged into your DVDEmpire account.

Oh well. This will be my third 1600 pointer after getting two at Outpost. I'm good for a while.

Yeah, they probably got slammed on this. I'm sure it was just a stock issue, because it seemed like this was a google discount, not a DVDEmpire discount.

Now i just need another offer for cheap points since i missed the overstock.com one. 1600 should cover me on the CoD maps and hopefully Street Fighter II but i still like have a few sticking around for later.

This is of course assuming that SFII isn't just a myth. Like Bigfoot. I'm wondering if i'll ever get to see it. Then i know bloody well i will just be owned by everyone when i start playing it again.

Played the new CoD2 maps w/ Exodus, Polekat and goLucky tonight. Good variety, a few small maps, and a few larger ones. Alot more nooks and crannies on some of them for the snipes like myself.

Awesome! Does Bill Gates have his own Oompa Loompas?
