http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Pilot And Scramble ate a shitload of my allowance as a kid. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scramble_%28arcade_game%29 |
I'm assuming this is Time Pilot.
Time Pilot is a mid air combat dog fighting style game. The aim of the game is simple, shoot down as many enemy planes as possible while avoid getting shot down yourself. You will first start with 3 ships. Your progress in the actual level is shown on bottom of the screen. A big mothership appears at the end of each level, destroy it to reach the next level. http://www.freeonlinegames.com/play/48.html Edit: I see Liver&Onions already beat me to it. |
Damn it all these new games, quick someone find one those cool deals on Microsoft Points. -pray-
|
Hold em and Lumines for me as well. Can't wait for those.
|
No free hold'em = no sale!
I need a demo for lumines. It gets a ton of buzz, so i need to see it myself. What's it like? |
Has it been confirmed yet that hold'em will not be free? I know everyone is speculating, I just can't believe that with eveything MS has done right with XBLA that they would make such a huge mistake as to tell the public it would be free, then to charge money for it. I mean, even if they lose money on it, at least it would keep the spirit high with the current 360 owners and increase the chances of getting a great opinion of them from other non-360 players. It really is a bad PR move.
I don't understand why they don't just give it away for free and then every other week or something add a different company's name as the current sponsor. It would allow for an endless amount of money since someone would always be interested in getting to the userbase. |
I thought Hold'em would use the camera. When does that come out?

Xbox 360 HD DVD Interface Preview This is only a preliminary design, but these pics are what the Xbox 360 team are looking at for integrating the HD DVD with your internal DVD drive in the UI. Looks pretty straightforward. Similar to the design that the current DVD has. http://gizmodo.com/assets/resources/...ox360hddvd.jpg We wonder if we're going to be able to play games in the HD DVD drive as well. Keeping two games queued up for easy switching would mean less trips to the 360. Yes, we're lazy. – Jason Chen More on the HD-DVD player from Major Nelson [Gamerscoreblog] |

Help connecting 360 to PC
Anyone else having a hell of a time connecting their 360 to a pc using windows media connect? I just can't seem to get them to recognize each other. I installed WMC and it seemed to go fine but when I go to the media connect part of my media page on the 360 it keeps timing out after the IP address part. Whats the deal? I should just be able to connect the firewire/ethernet cable to the back of my pc and just go right? Or do I need to be connected to the pc and the web at the same time? Any help would be appreciated.

I think Hold 'Em costs money now...I think there was licensing issues or something. Something went wrong, I'm hoping 400.
Anyways, apparently the F.E.A.R. demo is supposed to be on the next OXM. Someone at CAG was playing it, but it was very cryptic. Although, it said he was playing the demo on xbox.com. So, seems promising. |
Supposedly the company backing Hold'em backed out at the last minute. This probably led to canges to the interface which in turn delays the game.
I'm looking forward to F.E.A.R. |

I noticed EBGames has two versions of the LIVE Vision camera listed a stand alone for $39.99, and a kit for $79.99. The kit seems to include the camera, a headset, 1 month gold, and UNO. Which seems overpriced to me 39.99 + 19.99 + 7.99 + 5.00 = $72.97. Maybe there is something else included in the kit that they missed, although I don't need another headset or 1 month of gold anyway.
I'm looking forward to Lumines Live!, and the F.E.A.R. demo (my OXM seems to always be late thought). |

You don't need to change your Workgroup to mshome as was suggested. Are you running a software firewall on your PC like ZoneAlarm or similar? If you are, you need to go into your settings and allow the IP address for your 360. If you have not assigned a static address for the 360 then you need to allow a range of all address in your LAN to access your PC as your router will assign a different address each time you power on the 360. If you are not using a third party firewall but you are using Windows firewall you need to go into your settings for WinF and reset your settings. If this dosen't work call Xbox. |

Remember the mention of MSFT published titles being 49.99? I got a response from the PR rep today and here's what he said about Gears of War coming in at $59.99. Remember, I'm just the messenger :)
"It's up to publishers to value their games and it's up to the market to decide if publishers get it right. Microsoft is dedicated to bringing the most dynamic next-generation games into the hands of gamers everywhere. With the rising cost of game development, especially blockbuster titles, we must periodically adjust our pricing plans in order to ensure that gamers are able to experience the best possible product that the Xbox 360 has to offer. Of course, every game will be evaluated for value on a case-by-case basis-that won't change. As for us, we will ship our games at parity pricing with the current generation." |

Which means "Screw what we said about our titles remaining $49.99. If the other guys can charge $59.99 and get away with it, damnit, we will too!"
I've bought far less games for this system then other because even when on sale, it is still full price compared to the orginal xbox prices. a $10 off sale on $49.99 is easier to swallow then a $10 off sale from $59.99 |
Yeah, it's a shame...but really. If the game plays as well as it's hyping up, then I have no problem with a $60 title. Sad to say, but it's true.

Based on the TeamXbox link that was provided, I wouldn't take that phrasing as a promise to be under $50. It said they "want" to keep it around there, and in marketing speak that's as good as saying it'll be $60.

You should hear the 1up/egm guys rip into Cliffy B(gears of war designer) about it in last weeks podcast. Cliffy B. had previously said he never wanted to pay more than $50 for a game and even that is pushing it for an untested franchise. So they ripped him a new one in the podcast even though he has nothing to do with pricing. It was kinda funny. |

Worth. Every. Penny. |

This is crazy.
Another interesting thing to note - not only will the dealers accept marketplace points in place of cash when you're buying it, but they'll even give you a discount if you present your Diamond Card. Wow. I guess that makes the PS3 a suppository. (...but it'll be soooo much fun!) |

Now comes the fun of figuring out the problem and hoping there is a way to fix it.
