Got my Brian Age + DS Lite at Best Buy.... Oddly they only had 3 on the floor (DS Lites).

I got one at Future Shop, without any problems! I picked up, "The New Super Mario Bros," as well. I'm hoping for no dead pixels, or else it will be going back ASAP. I'm opening it in a second - I can't wait to finally be able to play it.

Edit: That's a negative...EB wouldn't take the coupon. Nuts to pre-ordering these systems. I'll just wait til release day next time and buy them where the best deal is.

I tried the same thing at EB and had no luck. My local best buy doens't have any DS Lites in stock, so I just said screw it. I'm always surprised when stores refuse to even try to match a deal. I asked the guy "why would I buy it here instead of just walking over to best buy? and he gave me some nonsense about how brain age was a cheap game that they use to sucker you in. Um, ok. But spending a few hours making the trek to cambridge isn't worth $20, so I just took my preorder and went home. It's still annoying as heck!

Josh, thanks for the link to the free Brain Age! I would've never thought to look at the CC website for a coupon before heading out there. But what is this Mario bundle you're talking about?

EDIT: NM, its the free case that CC is offering this week. I forgot it was in the ad, so I didn't bother to ask for it. I'll bring my receipt with me when I go out later, and stop by to see if they can still give it to me.

Tnx for posting that cc link josh, I got the brain age for free, I asked if I get the case as well, but the girl said it's a promo. It's either or, so I went for the brain age, I only wanted the case for the cloths anyway. =) Thanks again, now who has the best price for Mario Kart?

Picked up my Lite and thankfully have no bad pixels. It really is an awesome upgrade. They still had my trade in DS and I was able to transfer over my Wi-fi settings to my new DS.

So how do you tell if you have a bad pixel? Just a dark spot on the screens?

It can be stuck on several colors, but typically they get stuck on white.

One local Fry's had all of their DS Lites tied up in bundles. Best Buy down the street did not.

YMMV.

Worked. Out of Best Buy in 10 minutes. About a dozen people were there waiting in cars(it was raining). They probably had about 60 to sell though.

Put it to the female non-gamer test already. My sister, 23 over lunch didn't want to put it down to eat. She was playing Pac N Roll($13 at Sams club) and loving it.

Got my at Best Buy this morning, no problems. But the cashier said an interesting thing to me when I said that I really wanted the black one but I didn't want to wait till it released later this year. He said (grain of salt) that the black one was being released next month. He seemed sure of it.

I ended up buying the 2 years warranty in case of dead pixels, screen scratches, etc for $20 and then he told me that just 'in case' I did have to return it under that warranty, that I could probably get a black one at that time!

We'll see.

Now I need to turn it on and see what all of this fuss is about.

A question though regarding Wi-Fi. Is this hard to set up and do I need a wireless router (which I have) in my house to get the signal? Or are there wireless signals all around the major cities of the world that I can just pick up as I go?

Mostly column A, some B. All you have to know to hop onto a wireless network is the info such as WEP key or whatever (if applicable). WiFi-enabled games have a common setup procedure that gets saved to your DS. There's no way to configure that outside of a WiFi game that I'm aware of. The DS will search out for available signals, so you can hop on in public hotspots as well. It's that easy.

doesnt matter now, but pac n roll is $9 at best buy.

my best buy had an entire cage full of em, so preordering at eb wasnt necessary even though they claimed i wouldnt be able to get one for "months" like they always do.

they didnt have any brain ages tho, not even a spot for them

The local Best Buy had about 15 left when I got there at 2:00. Plenty of Brain Age, too.

I can't get a BB until tomorrow. I hope they have a few left.

Here's to hoping.

I might have to get one of these now. A guy I work with has one and was showing me the brain age game, looked pretty cool.

For anyone that can't get the DS with Brain Age locally, the deal is up on walmart.com now. I doubt it's in stores though, seems like a web special as the only bundle deals I've ever seen instore at Wally World are the official ones from the manufactures, while the website has some specials from time to time.

Mine shipped today from Overstock, ended up being $116 I believe with 10% off and free shipping. No free Brain Age, but I got Mario Kart for ~$30 as well.

Odd looks like no direct links work, and all go to front page

Just search DS Lite and scroll through the results, one of the bundles is for the free brain age.

Linking to ebay auctions is against the forum rules, much less posting it in multiple threads.
