Is your 360 connected to a HD display?
A poster in HD-talk keeps claiming that the majority of Xbox 360s are connected to HD displays. I find this surprising and figured a poll was in order. So... if you have an Xbox 360, is it connected to a HD display?

I think you'll find more home theater nuts on this forum than average, so you might not get the results you had in mind.
Ditto for what Leechboy said.

I agree that these numbers are probably skewed some, but still... pretty clear that HDTV does matter.

I have neither an HDTV nor an Xbox 360, but I can say honestly that having one or the other would not push me to get the other. They'd stand on their own merits.
My cable DVR/HD-receiver is in the bedroom since that's where the wife and I catch up with our TV viewing. Most likely the HD set would go there as well. The game systems are in the living room. So even if I did have both an HD set and a 360, there's a fairly good chance they wouldn't be hooked up together anyway. It wouldn't be until my main HT set was upgraded to HD.
Conversely, if some game came out that forced me to jump on the 360 bandwagon, it wouldn't push me to get an HD set just to have it.
I'm clearly in the minority on this forum, but I don't think that's true in the "real world". I didn't vote, btw.

The XBOX 360 and the upcoming PS3 are designed to be played on an HD widescreen display! Bottom line.
Honestly, these $400 to $600 consoles are not meant for children to play on the 25" TV in their bedroom.
If Mom and Dad were more informed they would realize that Jr can get along just fine with an XBOX, PS2 or GameCube. Sure there are plenty of parents who are gamers, have the required gear, and would like to split gaming time with the kids, but the others are just not doing their homework.

No, how many of these people bought an HD set because they got a 360? Or, how many of them only got a 360 because they already had an HD set?
I think you'll find that, on this HT/DVD forum, the HD display was already there. The 360 utilizing it was just a bonus.
