Duck Hunt? Neat. Without knowing any major details, I'm imagining this is just the same thing with a different controller. I can't imagine them charging for this. Maybe it'll be on the Flash Rom at sale?

Can't believe I am this excited about Duck Hunt.

Interesting tidbit for those worried about Prime3. The game will offer multiple control options in effect preserving the same solid control of the "lock-on" method, or for gamers looking for more FPS style the game will support "free-aim" method.
This means two things: [1] Single player should retain similar feel to earlier Primes. (If desired) [2] Multiplayer will be able to play like a traditional FPS game. Number 2 brings up an interestesting question, will the online segment allow gamers to compete against each other using different modes of control? I guess its a darwin thing... |
Played Doom on the keyboard exclusively because there was no advantage to the mouse other than fine tuning and quick turns. The game didn't need it though and I got quite good.
When Quake came, the keyboard users were blown away by the free-look mouse/keyboard combo. Of course, most of this had to do with the multiple planes the engine supported and no longer was everything in one "column" just as good as everything else. Meaning you couldn't just center your view on the X-axis where your target was and let your Chaingun rounds or Rockets go flying up out of your sight, you actually had to aim exactly where you wanted. Needless to say, I quickly converted. I see the same "Darwinism" happening here. Natural Selection. |
Along with Duck Hunt, nintendo is said to be showing a "Zapper" gun for the game at the show. Unknown if it will be stand alone or plug into the base of the Wiimote.

 Awesome. I never got into light gun games but with the accuracy and interactivity of the Wii, it may be worth a...ahem... shot.
|
I said it in the E3 forum and I'll say it here. You throw that Light Gun Shell into the box and Duck Hunt on the Flash of every system and you'll get a lot of bites at $250.

as long as it comes in either black, silver(prefer one of these 2) or possibly white(match my 360) I'll be happy. I'm not too keen on colors like green and yellow when it comes to a console being installed in my A/V rack.
|
They're really pushing white but I bet there will be a black one too.
