I wasted many, many hours online defending from those Soviet rushes. I really enjoyed Zero Hour as well. Looking forward to C&C 3!

Moving to the Video Game Announcement Forum.
Whoa, when did that subforum show up?
And less than a year later, the Video Game Announcement Forum is gone and forgotten. Alas, Video Game Announcement Forum, you were DVDTalk's Virtual Boy.

So.. after about three hours I got the demo. A 1 GB demo. Fantastic.
And since when is Command & Conquer an EA property?
Anyway.. holy crap it's been forever since I played this game. Time to turn it to easy mode. But, this demo did one thing for me.. it's the first time my $200 video card actually got put to use. I think I was just mesmerized by how the game looked in 1600x1200 over the old 2D originals I'm so fond of that I got smoked with the quickness. But, it's still C&C through and through so I'm happy to see that. I might be picking this up if there's a sale on it on the release date.

It is obvious you haven't played a PC demo in awhile.
The average demo has been at least 1 GB for a couple years now. That is why many people hate that the Xbox360 hard drive is only 20 GB. Download 10 demos, and your hard drive is full.
EA bought out Westwood Studios in 2003 as part of their overall plan for global domination.

Command and Conquer games have always been top notch...at least the original games. I have yet to play the newer incarnations over the last few years. Looking forward to this on the 360.

Just in case you didn't know, you can play as nod. Select the drop down list and choose nod, then hit the n key. it will select nod. you can change the ai to gdi with the same trick using the g key.
Have fun.

Gamespot review : 9.0
IGN review : 8.5
Tiberium Wars is Command & Conquer at its best, and an absolute blast for series fans and newcomers alike.
The Good: Exciting campaign features a ton of quality full-motion video; fast-paced gameplay is fun and exhilarating; scrin race is a fantastic, balanced addition to the c&c universe; battlecast turns the thrilling multiplayer into a spectator sport.
The Bad: Game is picky with structure placement.

9.0 Presentation
Excellent job all around bringing everything together into a cohesively styled whole. The return of live action cutscenes is welcome.
9.0 Graphics
These are some brilliant visuals full of life, laughter, and burning bodies. Special effects are particularly brilliant.
8.5 Sound
Everything from the music to the acknowledgements is done well here. There are some awkward transitions between songs, but other than that, very well done.
8.0 Gameplay
Good fast action RTS with a slick interface. The pace is kept fast and fun. Some balance issues. Still basically the same RTS we've been playing for years.
8.5 Lasting Appeal
Plenty of replay value with long campaigns. Good community support for multiplayer. Skirmish AI is good enough for a challenge lending more life still.

Gonna try and pick this up today and I'm debating on whether the Kane Edition is worth the extra $10.

We actually played a lot of C&C Renegade at lans. It was a poor game, but could still be a lot of fun with the right people. Cool moments, like driving a tank into a nod base and bailing out just before the obelisk blew you up.. then making a dash for the nearest building to load it up with C4 using your engineer. Anyway, I imagine a C&C fps done well could be pretty popular.
