I really wanted a black one, but I don't like the way the black PSP and Ipods smudge up with fingerprints. So I think I will be getting a white one. Plus I saw this picture posted over at the neogaf forums....sexy!

The white one will smudge up just as bad as a black/navy one (it just may not be as noticeable). It's not the color that matters, it's the type of plastic used for the shell. The PSP/iPoop/DS Lite use a glossy casing to give it a "modern" look.. the old DS used a matte plastic.. which means it's fingerprint free for the most part.

Yeah the white is not as noticeable as the darker colors. Here is CNET video review of the DS Lite...

looks nice!

I'm going to get the white one I think anyway. It doesn't matter which color really, after seeing all the videos I need this system in my life .

While a fun time killer I really question the basis in real science of this game. My brain age is 49, but is that based on anything other than the fact the voice and text recognition is mediocre.
I have that same problem, but other than that, the game is great.

Hell it is worth it for Sodoku alone (if you are a fan of icourse)! The touch screen is PERFECT for Sodoku and so far I haven't had any problems with it recognizing text. I do, however, have the BLUE problem. Oh well :-)

While I've had problems with both the text recognition (I don't write my 8's or 5's very conventionally) and voice recognition, I've had a lot of fun with the game. Well worth the $20 purchase.

I agree about Sudoku. Nintendo's got a great budget title here, and I can't wait to see Big Brain Academy this summer.

From www.gonintendo.com:

Black DS Lite?
http://gonintendo.com/wp-content/pho...7_up102100.jpg

Final Fantasy III Details:

Executive Producer/Director - Hiromichi Tanaka (Responsible for FF1-3’s game design. Namely FF1’s battle and menu systems, FF2’s event, skill, battle and menu systems, FF3’s battle, menu, job change, summon systems and the pop-up damage display. Worked on SaGa2’s map data and the complete scenario and events. As a producer he worked on Seiken Densetsu 2’s scenario, concept and the system design. Directed Seiken Densetsu 3. Produced Xenogears and Chrono Cross and designed the battle systems. Produced Dew Prism and FFXI.)

Art Director - Ryosuke Aiba (Xenogears map design, Chrono Cross monster design and monster texture design. Designer chief and art director of FFXI, also monster designer and monster texture chief.)

Character Design - Akihiko Yoshida (Ogre Battle tarot illustration, Tactics Ogre character design and illustrator, FFT character design, Vagrant Story character designer and background map supervisor, FFTA illustrator (Judge), FFXII character design and background map supervisor.)

Composer - Nobuo Uematu (Composer for FF1-11, King’s Knight, Half-boiled Hero, Half-boiled Hero vs 3D, SaGa1-2, Gun Hazard, Chrono Trigger, FFTA.)

- The interview is with the producer Asano and the executive producer/director Tanaka.
- FF3 WSC was canned due to terrible timing, the WSC died.
- The game will use both screens (duh).
- The game is full 3D.
- When in fields and towns the top screen will be the map.
- No map display in dungeons.
- Bottom screen is the main display because they want to use touchpen gameplay.
- You can use the touchpen to select everything and navigate menus, etc.
- Battles commands will be selected using the touchpen as well.
- Because it’s in full 3D, during event scenes the camera will be moved and used effectively.
- The main party is made up of 3 males and 1 female.
- While they’re giving the characters names and charactistics, the actual story of FF3 will not be altered one bit.
- There will be additional events and episodes in the game to develop the characters and their backstories.
- You need Capacity Points to change jobs.
- Defeated enemies will give gil, exp and cp.
- This change was made to balance the job system.
- The actual foundation of the system has not changed.
- There will be a total of 23 different jobs.
- As this is a portable game, there will be a save anywhere function. It would be annoying otherwise.

I somehow got a Brain Age of 20 today, so I really don't understand how it figures this, but none the less its a blast to play every day. I especially like how they have set up the Sudoku games on it. I have also improved greatly on the most of the tests. Its amazing how quickly that stuff comes back when you start using it again.

My brain ages: 70, 20, 27, 26... I'm not sure how it figures it either.

Sudoku is well worth the price of admission alone.

I picked up Brain Age yesterday out of curiosity. Nintendo is dead on with this thing... had some friends over who don't normally game at all. I'm typing this now while they're at the store to pick up a DS. I tried to tell them to wait for the DS Lite... but they didn't want to wait. I got to play it once... they won't put it down.

The wireless multiplayer is even fun in Brain Age. I've played the 30 count math race with a few guys at work and had our sites cleaning lady playing and doing better than the security guard. Pretty funny.

I'm loving Brain Age. I had the same problem with blue as many, but I have found if I play where there isn't a lot of ambient noise, it works a lot better. Also holding the system at about 3/4 arm's length seems to help as well.

Went from a brain age of 49, 39, and now 33. Getting better . I'm going to try out the multiplayer this weekend. It says you can play with up to 15 people at once, but it'll be around 7 for me. Should be crazy!

My favorite is the calculations and low to high. The Head Count one was very difficult at first until I developed a strategy for the more complicated ones. Still haven't gotten the one where it goes insane on you but working up to it. I'm loving sudoku too, I do 1 in the evening to unwind before I go to bed.

I imagine it is only a matter of time until you hit one that isn't exactly relaxing

So I started playing Mario & Luigi 2 last night.. whoever is writing the dialogue in the latest Mario RPG games needs a fat raise.. not 20 minutes into the game and I'm already enraptured by just the text. The suitcase is hilarious, when he's teaching you to use items and you select the wrong icon and he said "No. That is the opposite of correct." I nearly pissed myself. Oh, and I can REALLY tell the music is done by the same lady that did the music from Kingdom Hearts.. there's definitely some structural similarities in the tunes.

Wow, I though the dialogue and story in M&L 2 was a let down after the first game and Paper Mario 2.

Well.. that may be, I just started. I'm mainly referring to the writing style. It reads like it was written in English as opposed to translated from Japanese. Vocabulary is more varied and characters have distinct personalities in their dialogue. Most J-RPGs are translated very directly and very dryly to the point that, even if the story being presented is interesting, the amateur writing style really makes it more difficult to enjoy.

Ah, that's a fair point. I just though the dialogue was fairly cheesey and juvenile compared to the other games, but you're right about it being well done in english rather than a dry translation.
