Castlevania and Kirby Canvas Curse are worth picking up.

Phoenix Write and Trauma Center are well regarded but I've not played either personally.

I find it hard to like the look of something when it's only preserved by not touching it. To each their own.

Has anybody found a nice, simple case yet? The ones Nintendo gave out at E3 seemed to fit the bill for me (my friend who went kept it even though he's not getting a Lite anytime soon *pout*) but I haven't liked what I've seen at Best Buy and Gamestop so far.

No, but played other stylus intensive games like Kirby and Feel the Magic and the Mini-games in both Mario's.

As darkside said, for adults its dust and dirt that gets on the screen that you can then scratch it with. It won't scratch with just the stylus.

So just be sure to wipe of the screen each time before playing any stylus intensive games, and you won't get any bad scratches.

Obviously if you have young kids who will be using it then it's a different story.

I'll back Josh up.. I played Pac-Pix to death along with Kirby and my old screen is clean as new. Don't dig the stylus into the screen and make sure it's free of dust before playing and you'll be okay. I actually had more trouble cleaning greasy fingerprints from the screen from playing Jump Superstars, Princess Peach and Super Mario than anything the stylus could have ever done!

Lens clothes (or the cleaning rag that came with the Mario bundle thing at CC as it's very similar) work great on fingerprints.

Otherwise, it rocks. I actually had to turn the brightness DOWN last night when we went to a bar to watch the ECW PPV; we played some 4-player Bleach before the show started (you have to get there an hour early to get decent seats), in the dark, the highest setting is blinding.
You went to the bar, with your DS, to watch wrestling? Why not drink beer or hit on women for the hour

Thanks. I did drink a few beers (and margaritas) and I'm practically engaged already. That's important to you?

Have to admit I wouldn't be caught dead with my DS in a bar though.

Just busting balls.....take it easy. I find it humorous though...I never thought to take a gaming system to a bar when I went OFTEN.

It was a PPV wrestling night. You think there were women there?

I bought the Intec(sp?) hard case($30) that came with some decent screen protectors. I had to reapply the top one once but it was pretty simple. Then again I work at a sign shop and deal with vinyl, squeegies and air bubbles all day long. I've had some practice.

FWIW, I think they look great. Doesn't seem to be hazy or dark at all to me.

I realize its nerdy, but I honestly have no problem taking my DS or PSP with me to public places and using them while waiting or killing time.

Oh I agree, and don't give people a hard time about it and do take mine out of the house sometimes.

But I just couldn't see taking it to a bar, that's just too nerdy for me, and when I go to the bar I don't need to kill time as I'm there to talk to friends and drink.

But I wouldn't rib someone over doing it either, as who cares?

Picked up my NDSL at Wal-Mart since I was already up at midnight and then yesterday morning went back in to exchange it since there was a dead pixel. Going by what one of the workers said I was the second person that morning to do just that.

While out running a few errands yesterday I stopped by a store or two looking for a decent case that could fit in my pocket and keep the dust off but no real luck there, has anyone run across any cases they would recommend yet?

Nope. I'd love a slim fit, ipod type case/cover. Or something along the lines of the logitech PSP case.

I am going to pick up Mario Kart DS but are there any others that are excellent? I don't want to play FPS-style games on the DS or anything even remotely complicated.
I would recommend Tetris for your collection!

The free ccase given out at CC (or can be bought in the $10) is pretty thin.

Not what your looking for really, but it's not very bulkey, just a neoprene sleeve. But I doubt I'd buy it if I didn't get it free, but for free it works more than well enough for me.

Yeah. Something a little more protective. Something along the lines of the evo3 ipod skins would be cool.

Can somone explain Sleep Mode to me...I have been playing Tiger WOods Golf, after like 9 Holes, I get tired, so I close the DS. Does it automatically go into Sleep mode? When I do this, the green/Yellow light comes and stays on and when I open it, it automatically pops up right where the last scene was? Was it in Sleep mode then? Does this drain the battery?

And it does drain the battery, but VERY little. I've read several times of people accidentally leaving one in sleep mode for a week without the battery totally dying.

Has Nintendo announced other colors for the DS Lite? With such a bright colorful screen I would think it would look even nicer on a Dark Red, Colbalt Blue or Black unit.

Sleep mode automatically starts when you close the DS, and it resumes as soon as you open (thus, the lack of sound), the flashing light means it's still on but in sleep mode, solid means it's in use. And since its blinking Yellow, that means your battery is getting low (red/orange means low.)

There are other colors available in other regions.

Personally, I like the white its a glossy, shiny plastic like the PSP or iPods, thu the dark ones will show fingerprints horribly and look dirty and crappy all the time.

When I close mine, it stays Solid Yellow... So that means what now?
