Yoshi's Island was a work of genius, fantastic game - even Yoshi's Story on the N64 (which I thought was pretty inspid at the time) was a fine game, looking back. I actually hope thats one of the downloadble games on the Wii, now.

Elite Agent Force! :D2:

Any chance that's single-cart? If so, I think I know the loser's lounge activity at next week's poker game. I have 2 DSes and will have one NSMB cart. None of my friends are cool enough to have their own DS or this game.
|
Its' a shame the Mega Mushroom can't be used more - that Giant Mario stomping about is going to be as fun as hell :)
No way will anything stop me getting the game though. |
Any hopefuls for the E3 conference this afternoon?
A 2D Metroid DS? Are the Elite Agent Force rumors true? Downloadable NES/SNES content? |

Yoshi's Island 2 + Star Fox DS + Diddy Kong Racing = -eek- -other- -eek-
Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol = |
Pre-ordered the DS Lite (had about $100 in credit at Gamestop). But decided to keep my old DS for Animal Crossing and because I'm not waiting a month for NSB.

New SMB is an awesome game. However, I don't think its the best mario ever as some are proclaiming it. Mario 3/SMW still kill this. Why? Its just all of the same, with alot of the greatness taken out (Flying, Storing multiple items). The maps themselves are kinda neat, but having to spend 5 'Coins' to get into a Toadhouse only once is kinda lame. Mario does move pretty well, except I didn't know you control him with BxX and not AxB. Oh well.

Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol = Are those announced games or just pipe dreams? ;) I read today that DK Racing game is called DK Bongo Blast - some sort of racing game with the bongo controller (no really), also announced (only shown on video) was Super Paper Mario for the 'Cube - an old school 2-D platformer, but rendered in the Paper Mario style, damn - I'm excited about that from just the description. :eek2: |

Super Paper Mario looks really fun - actually its not quite an RPG, not quite a platformer. I really cant wait for that :) |

I really cant wait for that :) It will seem odd for this to come out so closely to Mario Galaxy and two system launches. But, an ending mario title always seems to come out at the end of the system's life. Super Mario RPG came out for Super Nintendo, Paper Mario for N64, and now Super Paper Mario for Gamecube. |

Hopefully, the will do a beefed up Mario 3/Mario World redux in the future for DS including the kooplings, bunch of new suits with special powers, new worlds that no one has ever though of (Marajuana Gardens -World 7), etc. That would be a good idea for a sequel if they do one. We all know Mario was a stoner back in the day... Where do u think the magic mushrooms came from. Oh well. Seriously though... Nintendo if your listening... Mario 3/Mario World Redux in new environments... Bring Yoshi and new characters in again as well to help Mario out along the way. I know the kooplings are technically dead (most were lit on fire back in 91), but that didnt stop them from being in that Mario RPG for Gameboy advance all those years later. Then again, im not sure when that takes place in Marios universe. Baby Bowser is just an annoyance all around. |
A friend of mine let me borrow his second copy of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!
Yoshi's Island 2 was a big surprise! I just hope it's as hardcore as the original. |
Kooplings?
Didnt Iggy Koopa and the like appear in Mario World? BTW, sorry about my last post - the games I mentioned like Donkey Kong Bongo Blast etc are actually 'Cube games, and it appears Yoshi's Island 2 etc are DS games :) |
Holy crap, Ouendan! is AWESOME.

Phoenix Wright 2!!!!
Had to post that, going back to read the rest. |
Still no Intellivision Lives! DS news...
|
I wonder what Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is? Its so long since I actually played a Pokemon game, it doesnt sound like a full RPG though :(
|
Pokémon Mysterious Dungeon is part of a long-running series in Japan, using difference franchises. It's a rouge-like dungeon crawler, pretty unpopular in the US (I love them) but I think the Pokémon will be less, er, ruthless.

So many good games being shown for the DS, its mind bending. I'm really looking forward to Starfox.

DS is definitely the console of the year for this year in terms of quality games.
