Thanks for the pic....I never knew what it looked like exactly. Too bad it's not like the HD pack where I could use different component cables if I wanted. I'm sure MS are not the best of quality.

How long are the cables? I'm sure they are long enough for me, just curious

Am I the only one who would rather have coax digital instead of optical? The inputs on my receiver are limited.

I think optical inputs are more common these days. I know I have like 3-4 digital inputs (with a majority being optical)

The only reason I'm glad it's optical is because that's what the XBOX used, so I already have the cable ran. Personally I would rather coax if that wasn't the case.

So is everyone unhooking your current xbox and putting the 360 in its place? Or, are you going to run both systems? The compatiblity list is short, so I was going to run both systems.

I'll have my Xbox and Xbox 360 hooked up to different HDTVs.

Looks like the links for BB's quantities aren't showing up the right images. Anyone else have that problem?

They may have been taken down for legal reasons. But no worries, Google Cache comes to the rescue!

I'm not sure if it was asked or even answered, but with Lan parties will 16 wireless controllers work or is there a limited number before they start interfering with each other?

I noticed earlier that there were a lot of 'errors' in the xbox 360 section.

The store availability isn't accurate either. Even though the website said none were available, I picked up CoD2 at lunch today.

Two 360's taken in Virginia armed robbery

Written by Curt Feldman - Posted 11/21/05 11:11 AM

Consoles taken at gunpoint just hours ago; thief apprehended, consoles recovered.

A Stafford, Virginia, Electronics Boutique store was the scene of an armed robbery this morning. According to sources, the perpetrator made off with two Xbox 360 systems, forcing the store manager to hand them over at gun point.

Sources tell GameSpot the local police responded quickly, cordoned off the store, and immediately pursued the thief. The thief was apprehended shortly afterwards.

Because the police consider the heist an ongoing criminal investigation, store employees were reluctant to discuss details of the robbery. But as of press time, the store is open, and all systems are back to normal.

"We're all fine and everything is cool," a store staffer told GameSpot.

I was at store 498 in Bellevue today (one of the midnight stores, so they are getting 200 pro and 66 core). There was probably a couple of hundred people on line (I can't say exactly but the line went to the back of the building then across the parking lot and ended somewhere behind Home Depot).

Wait... there are still Electronics Boutiques around? And are the two Xbox's being held as evidence (in which case two preorderers will be pretty upset...)

Reportedly, the 360 box includes a form you can fill out to purchase a 2-year extended warranty from Microsoft for $60. Microsoft's warranty service has been excellent in my experience, so that may be a good way to go.

Yes you can get Microsoft's two year service agreement for like $40 on their website, the info comes packaged with your console.

That's what I heard at work today. Lines were going by noon right?

Damn.

The system sure is loud and it gets warm real quick. If I can get over the fear of a fan blowing up and it bursting into flames I can really settle in and have some fun tonight.

Damn it all. So my 360 is telling me that it can't verify my original billing information, so I call the help line and wait. 1 hour and 14 minutes later nobody has picked up . No LIVE for me I guess.

I had trouble when I replaced my orginial xbox. Has your address changed at all? Sometimes it can be something as small as an abbreviation like St. and Street.

The CC from my Xbox Live account had actually expired, but I updated the information when I got my new one. I bet that's it. What's worse is now when I call the help line it says "that number is not in service" before it was just hanging up on me! LOL.
