Yeah right now I'm a little bit angry but if they handle this well I'll have a good feeling about their customer service. If they handle it poorly, it'll start to rekindle my M$ is the devil days ;)
Here's hoping it all works out well. |
still no new demos, *tear*

Although, I had to call back for them to ship my "coffin", so that took off 3 days of my time to ge the console shipped back.
I have a feeling they will forget my 360 controller and 1-month extension on my account. I found out that my initial console died on 1/29/06....so, it's been a month without LIVE. |

How hard can it be for Midway to port another arcade game on there? C'mon, I can probably port Rampage if you give me a week.

I know that no firm date was set for GR:AW demo but I really did hope the rumors of having it hit Marketplace today were the real deal.

Well I got my return box earlier today and it's all ready to go back to TX via UPS Next Day air. I'm going to ship it off later today. Here's hoping for the best!
The one thing I was a little bummed about, I couldn't copy my Halo and Halo 2 save files from my HD to the memory card I'm borrowing from my brother, nor could I copy my PD Zero save :( Oh well, I guess that just gives me an excuse to play through those games again. |

Nope.. When I called, they told me to send nothing but the 360. They said take out the hard drive, any memory units and make sure there were no games in the drive.
They received my unit yesterday, according to UPS and an email from XBox I got yesterday, so hopefully I'll get a unit friday or monday back. |

Edit-I saw there is a sticker that says don't send ANY accesorries so I'm not going to send the HDD back, if they give me problems I'll just say I thought that was considered an accessery. |
What were your 360s doing that made you want to send it back? Mine will show the cannot read disc error every once in a while. If I'm lucky I can go a couple days without it coming up, but then theres also those days where I get the message a couple times a day. Not sure if I really want to go through the hassle of sending it in.

My FIRST 360 died with the AUTO update. It frooze my machine and I got 3 red lights. Wouldn't even start up. The SECOND one was MS fault, it would NOT let me log onto LIVE, and MS knew about that error. I should get mine back today...it shipped yesterday.

Well, so far I am really impressed with XBox support.
My timeline is as follows: Thursday(2/23): 3 red lights on Xbox 360 unit. Called XBox support. Gave me a case number and mailed out coffin to return unit on. And I receive an email with confirmation of support request. Monday(2/27): Received coffin and shipped back unit Tuesday(2/28): They receive unit and email me letting me know they received it. Thursday(3/2): I receive an email with a tracking number that a 360 is on its way to me. Since they should have shipped overnight, I will have it tomorrow if I am at home when UPS delivers. Otherwise I'll have to wait until Monday to pick it up after receiving the yellow slip from the delivery person. So far, I am impressed that things moved so quick. I've heard horror stories where people waited weeks for a return unit. Now, I will say that until I get the unit and make sure it all works, I won't say I'm completely satisifed. But at least it is on track for that. |
I finally got my 2 year service agreement from MS today Effective till Jan. 31st 2008. So now I have two years to think about how I'm gonna break the poor bastard on Jan. 29th 08. :D

If you guys had a 360 that froze up every once in a while, would you send it in? I'm still undecided if I want to go through it all.

If you did, I wouldn't worry about it. If you didn't, I'd get it taken care of now while it's still in warranty. |
