I was able to score a HDD today at Best Buy. Just downloaded the codec so I can listen to songs via the ipod. Can you transfer songs from the ipod to the HDD? I couldn't find an answer for that anywhere. I'm guessing it's because Apple likely only allows that feature with itunes?

Also. I burned some songs onto a disc to rip to the 360. However, the track names didn't show up on the 360. They were all Track 01, and so on. The names of these songs were entered when I copied the songs to disc via Sonic. They were songs I purchased from MSN Music. Any way to get the titles to show up? Or does everyone have track 1, 2, 3.....on all their playlists?

Question 1 - Nope, no way to move the songs from the ipod, streaming only.

Question 2 - What I've seen is that if I rip a whole album to the 360, the names show up; however if I do a "mix" of songs I have to enter the names myself.

Hope the info helps.

Can you edit the names on the 360?

EDIT: Okay..figured it out.

Some record companies place the track info on the cd, so that helps out. I'm pretty sure Sony does this and maybe a few other companies. Too bad you can't copy songs from the ipod. that would have saved me alot of work.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this but here I go. I'm on my second 360 and still having no luck getting one that works.

The first one I got came from Wal-Mart. The hdtv cables were bad on it after going through and hour and a half talk with Microsoft. I took it back to Wally World on Thursday and got my money back.

I left there and went to EB Games. Believe it or not, I got a brand new 360 right out of the box. When I got home with this one, I knew I was in trouble. The on/off button sticks. Sometimes it won't turn on unless you use the remote. Also, it is humming so loud it will drive you nuts.

I went back to EB today and they will replace as soon as some more comes in. Is this crazy or what? I spend over $450.00 bucks on a system that won't work like it should. Needless to say, I have had a belly full of this mess. People shouldn't have to deal with this kind of junk going on with a new gaming console.

I think you would have been better off buying a new HD cable pack, and taking back the originals as defective. Other than that I have nothing to offer.

Wecome to the world of MS hardware. They all do that. That is not a defect issue.

Microsoft didn't offer to replace the bad HD cable on your first unit? Did you call about your sticking on/off button on the 2nd one? When I thought I had a problem with my system (turns out I overlooked something small when setting up the system), they sent me a prepaid shipping box overnight to send my system in. And when I told them that I thought the problem was with the HD cables, they offered to replace those free of charge as well.

People who were having problems with their 360s were reporting 5 day turnarounds with MS, you definitely should have gone that route. There is no way I would return one for faulty cables.

I just got around to playing Kameo this weekend....I played the demo before and though it was just ok, but it's actually a LOT better than I thought. Glad I got it through MS Retail

How long does the game last about? I'm on Deep Blue's stage....ahlfway through it, I got annoyed trying to control him. So, I have 5 creatures possessed.

You're maybe at 40% of the game.

Thanks...I take it that it's about an 8-10 hour game. Fun game...I'm sure I'll finish it and trade it after.

I'd say closer to 15-17 w/o doing co-op or score attack. I can only see 10 hours if you skip every side quest and are racing through the game not replaying any areas. Even then it sounds like a stretch.

DJ,

How long ago did you put in your Retail order... I'm waiting on mine (ordered on 13-Jan), but its sitting in a backordered state.

I jumped on it as soon as I saw 360 titles out there... but not sure when these were actually made available on the retail site.

I ordered 9-Jan, they shipped pretty quick. I only ordered 2 of the 3 games (no PDZ)

If you have a 360 with a gray dvd drive, you'll be fine.

Pelican and Nyko are both releasing products that you snap on the 360 and it keeps the system "cool". Pelican's comes out on 1/25. Nyko's in April.

Of all the people that I know who have 360s (about a dozen), only one had to be sent in for service... it wasn't due to a faulty drive or overheating...and it was a premium system.
Thank you both.

Thanks, there for a bit I was checking every day to see if any were available, then I gave it a break and when I got around to the site again they were "available".

I think the old retail site used to keep real time inventory and mark something as unavailable when they ran out, but it seems the new site doesn't or did not keep up with demand and let me order when stock was out. In any case, hopefully I'll get them soon.

I'm one of the most horrifically slow gamers I know (whatever people post on message boards as the average time to complete, I'm usually 50%-100% longer), and my completion time for Kameo the second time through is 7 hours and 3 minutes...and I'm pretty sure I could shave 20-30 minutes off that if I played it again. I did 5 or 6 of the side quests, although I didn't replay any areas I didn't have to. I lost my first saved game (which is why I ran through it a second time), but I was still under 12 hours, I believe.

Thanks for posting that! I just downloaded it and finished the demo, and I'll be buying the full version for sure, more than likely sometime tonight.

The Full Auto demo is up as well: 646.47 meg.

The unwreck feature is perhaps the coolest part of the demo. I love going back in time to correct my last mistake, but I'm not quite sure how they will use that in the multiplayer.

The car with the missle/machine gun stinks, but the grenade/shotgun combo is deadly. I love spitting those grenades behind me for my competition to eat up.

UNWRECK MODE will be REMOVED from multiplayer. I read then in the OXM....they said it was not possible. Still looks to be a great game.

450MB left!?!?! Wow, I have like 10 GIG. Do you have a lot of music on there also? Well, at least they have one candidate for a larger HD when needed.

The Final Fantasy XI beta takes up 6GB all by itself.
