Let me be the first to say: HELL YES!

P.S. Phantom Hourglass? Will the next one be Attack of the Phones?

Holy shit! I didn't see this one coming so soon! I was expecting some sort of announcement like this at E3. Looks incredible.

The DS is already console of the year, this just ups the ante further!

That is AWESOME! How much to talk about!

A 3D graphics engine with 2D gameplay.
A pull down map that can be drawn on.
Wind Waker styling.
Ship Battle.

List goes on and on. Where did this come from? There was almost zero mumblings about this game and all of a sudden a video of (what looks like) a finished product? Haha maybe this will come out before Twilight Princess.

Can't wait! I love any old school Zelda I can get my hands on.

Can't wait. Nothing better than Zelda games. Metroid used to be my fave, but the super hard bosses in the Prime series have soured me on it some.

I'm overjoyed that Nintendo is pursuing another Wind Waker like Zelda. The artistic style of Wind Waker was too good to let go. I can only imagine how the Phantom Hourglass will look on the DS Lite.

I like to think that this announcement was meant for E3, but they're already overloaded there so they wanted to make a splash here. I can't wait. I hope it does have some TP (wifi) connectivity, but more than Tingle.

My wife would never let me splurge on a pearl necklace for her. I don't think the news is that great.

Glad to see Wind Waker's aesthetic; not glad to see the sailing. Hopefully, the stylus stuff will freshen up the formula a bit.

I was really hoping for oot or a zelda game w 3d gameplay.

Phantom hourglass? Anyone else getting tired of the magical objects? I'd rather have a straight forward linear game.

It looks like one of the few DS games that will fully utilize the touch-screen technology. Wow, why so many good Zelda adventures lately?

Splurge is the right word, but I'm still not sure you're on board.

Anyway, sorry to sidetrack...just wanted to illustrate how exciting that video was. I rarely buy games on day of release, rather waiting to save a few bucks used...but this is one I'll take an early lunch to pick up. No doubt.

Well, I'd let you explain it to me but I've got a date to dine at the Y later.

The last thing I'd want is another rerererelease of OOT. I've got 3 different versions on my shelf already. I'm not sold on 3d gaming engines on the DS yet. My only real experience is Mario DS and now MP:H and neither of them are very intuitive. I'll gladly take any 2d or psuedo-3d anyday on this device. If the DS had an analog stick (even an attachment would be cool) then I might sing a different tune.

Yup, this looks QUITE impressive. How cool is it that you can write notes on your map? That's genius.. that's so genius that it HAS to have been done before somewhere.. right? Stylus controller boomerang looks cool, but obviously for puzzles and switches only. I wonder if it'll be a direct sequel to Wind Waker?

One thing I hope for is that they finally realize that the substance of Zelda is in the adventuring.. dungeons, not fetch quests. Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Minish Cap ALL suffered because of this. I mean, Majora's Mask only had FOUR dungeons, granted they were huge and fucking brilliant, but still.. Minish Cap had, what.. two? I just remember being done with that game in like 30 minutes.

One more reason to get a DS Lite when they hit the states.

My wife is not going to like seeing this clip...

This might have been the highlight of her day, too. If she's a gamer LOL.

WHOA. This might be enough to finally get me to buy a DS.

(Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time was almost enough.)
