Great impressions from 1up.com!

In strictly technical terms, Hunters is nothing less than amazing...The game's graphics are fast, and miles beyond anything else on the system: packed with detail, a smooth framerate and sophisticated effects like light-sourcing and metallic reflections...While Hunters won't be to every Metroid fan's liking, it will mark the first genuinely good first-person shooter on DS. It also brings Nintendo more in line with current expectations for online gaming, closing the feature gap between the DS and PSP titles like SOCOM. And it proves that with sufficient effort, the DS is capable of pushing some excellent 3D graphics...

I'll buy this game for the online multiplayer modes alone when I can scrape $30 together. The single player just seems like a bonus. I'm really interested in the stat tracking features in this game, for example things like distance walked and total shots fired will be tracked. I loved all the fun stats in Super Smash Brother: Melee and wish more games would incorporate stats to the degree it did.

I hadn't watched too many movies of this game, it looks pretty damn impressive, particularly I recently found this one and it got me excited about it because it shows some of the open areas of the game. This game would look astounding on a DS Lite

okay this game is cool, but the controls are weird, but you can do double handed so the buttons control your head and the d pad controls your body which is kinda cool. anyone who has a ds and some extra time this thing is cool you should get it.

This game is amazing - very tight, and very polished. The controls take some getting used to, but there are many control set-ups to choose from. The multi-player on it is great, but if you don't care for multi-player, the single-player game alone is worth it.
This is a AAA-game all the way, and anyone with a DS needs to own it. It's hard to believe I'm playing this on a portable system.

I'm still on the fence about this. If the single player mode is well received and the bosses aren't as absurdly hard as those in Prime 2 I may pick it up. Otherwise I'll probably pass and pick up Peach when I can spare $30 bucks.
Getting my Metroid fix playing through Super Metroid on an emulator now anyway.

I picked it up today, got my friend code out of it even, but I haven't been able to put Tetris down. The WiFi battles on that could be stuff of legends. I wish I could go to E3 or PAX just to see all the DS gaming circles that are bound to pop up.

Played one online match and started the single player. Really impressive so far and I'm glad to see IGN liked it. My friend code for Hunters is: 051607143979.
I added you Bean but I won't be able to play until tomorrow afternoon.

I'll probably be getting this one in the near future. I really want to get it now, but it's been a really busy month for new releases, and I haven't even beat the original Metroid Prime for my Gamecube

I got it today. Did some one player and a little wi-fi. Will add my friend's code in a few.
Edit: My code is 3565-4986-6555. My name on Metroid is Snake.

I played a bit of the single player last night and damn I'm going to have some fun with this one!
I'll set up my wi-fi stuff tonight and add all of those who have their codes posted.

I played Tetris for 3 or 4 hours last night. Limited online modes, but there's a fair amount of strategy and, of course, luck involved. You can't not care for Tetris. Everyone loves Tetris.
Hoping to get into MP tonight. I should have brought my manual to learn the game instead of sitting here staring at the computer...

Anyways, I'm mostly surprised that you haven't jumped into MetroidDS yet, since you're such a big fan of the franchise.

So is MP:Hunters still the same Metroid kind of adventure? Or is it more of a FPS? I read that you don't lose all your weapons at the beginning of the game (like you do in pretty much every other metroid). If that's true, what do they have you go collect? Did they actually come up with new gadgets?
