I think I'm going to get a chameleon spell next. Sneak up on people for sneak attack damage and you're rolling.

As for chameleon, i'd jump on an invisibility spell first. Chameleon makes you harder to spot, invis makes you unable to be spotted. With invis i can run behind someone, then crouch and sneak attack.

I was just really getting into this game, just joined the Mage's Guild and all. I went to bed last night and everything was fine. I woke up this morning ready to play some more, and the 360 gives me the All Mighty and Great Three Rings of Doom.
I just bought the damn thing Sunday. If it wasn't for Oblivion, I would just take it back to BB and tell them I want my money back. I'll get a replacement instead and hope for better luck.

Oh, I have a good invisibility spell, but after you hit them you can be seen again. Wanted to play w/ the chameleon.
Also, if anybody else is trying to use training to up their stats (I am with armorer), you can train 5 times until you level up again, so if you're going to level up, make sure you get any training you want done before sleeping.

It is awesome in low light. When I go in a cave with Chameleon @ 20%, Night Eye spell 150 sec, detect life 60ft (30ft ring) 60 sec spell and sneak (Expert) I can usually get 1 shot kills with my bow (fire damage) at my current level 15, and if they take more than one shot I have got 3 sneak attack shots (the most it has taken).

Man this game is crazy, I have like 6 quests right now, I am still a level 1, and I have yet to complete anything besides escaping prison. When I start working on one I keep getting more.
I am going stealth thief, but I think I should have gone more stealth warrior.
Everytime I try to do something, I get caught. Does it get better when I get better skills?

One of my Thief Guild quests is messed up and I've have to lose over an hour of playtime to fix it. I think I'll just finish out the main quest and dark brotherhood and do the thief quest with someone else.

Since you folks have been playing this longer than I have...have any or many of you gotten a lockup with a message that the disc couldn't be read, use a cloth to clean it? It's done this twice to me in about 12-15 hours of play, and each time I was able to simply restart and play for hours again without difficulty. I've read that there are some lockups due to the amount of information loading between areas and this seems to be when it's happened to me. But since I recently had problems with my disc player in my old XBox I'm a bit anxious about any problems at all.
That said, this game is absolutely amazing. Best part is that my wife and kids enjoy watching while I still get to play.
Couldn't ask for more than that.

Create a spell that casts100% chameleon on yourself for 30 seconds. You can sneak around undetected.Nice for that 6x bonus damage hit.

I don't know what to do. I am now a level 3 Kajiit, but I haven't completed much.
I am not liking the bow as much as I though, I get a shot off anfd the person bull-rushes me so I have to switch to a sword. I am thinking of switching to more af a stealth-melee character.
Should I hold out because the marksman stuff will get better?
Also, I joined the mage's guild and stole and sold all of the books. By picking them up did I read them? And do they return? How else do I make money?
Also, the guys at EB said there was a "secret" patch that automatically gets downloaded to fix some glitch where you could sell your sword mutliple times in succession with-out losing it, while on horseback.

That is just what they told me, that he tried it and the sword didn't even appear for sale now, since it was equipped.
Can somebody give me info about marksman. I am a level 3, and I did the 2 sides of the coin task, but I could only fire a singel arrow before being rush and having to switch to a sword. Is this how the bow works through-out? Just fire a couple then melee it out? I am still considering restarting as a melee instead of marksman.
Thirdly, I was reading befor in the thread, but I couldn't refind it, was there something I should do (5 times) before levelling up? Training or something? It this the training that costs like $300+ each time? Where do I get that kind of money?

You want to train 5 times every level, but there are some things to consider. You level up when you increase your 7 main skills so many times. I would suggest you train your minor skills on lower characters as this will not increase your overall level making your character too strong in one area and too weak to fight, just use combat to increase your main combat skills early on. I am training my armor skill to get it to journeyman and be able to repair all of my magical equipment.
I took Marksmen and Blade as two of my main skills so I could be good both long and short range. You will need a close style combat for the lower levels, I am lvl 15 and still need something for close range at times.
How do you recharge your own magical weapons? I am sick of having to go the Mage's Guild and wait till that person is awake and in their spot to charge my weapons.

So like with marksman, training is was 300 min each, so it is $1500 per level? Then if you increase your desired skill, you will spend all of your time travelling between the places for training!
Not to mention how to get all of that money.
Is there a desired order to work on things? I mean I have 3 guilds, and an assortment of other tasks, and the main task.
Will a specific order assit me develope? I thought thieves guild, but I am afraid these skills would make me level up too quickly, so should I do mages since those skills aren't as important to me, letting me learn with-out making the game too difficult too fast.

I wouldn't use training for something like marksman. I would level up marksman by shooting arrows at people.
I am leveling up armorer. It's pretty hard to naturally level that one up unless you want to spend time inentionally breaking swords just to fix them. I need to get armorer up in order to fix enchanted weapons.
If you are a low level, jon, you probably shouldn't even bother with paying for training until you figure out why you would want to.
When you get up to level 12+ the money is a lot easier to get because weapons are worth so much more.

I started wondering today and founs some ruins and got a nice bow with spark damage. I am sure it is not the best, but better then what I got. I also got some practice shooting at skeletons and imps.
