If you have Verizon in your area check with them. DSL is 14.95 per month with a 1 year commitment.

Hey there Western NYer....

If 39.99 a month is doable for you, I would DEFINETLY go with Time Warner Road Runner. I believe Rochester's only other choice is Frontier DSL (I don't think Verizon services are avalible in Rochester) DSL is OK, but I think whether you are using it for JUST online gaming or PC stuff as well you will be very happy with Road Runner (again, if the $$$ is ok with you)

Hello MrMagoo and Leechboy.
Thank you for the advice. I got a couple of good replies before you two but it's always great to get info from someone in your exact location. Thank you both again for the advice. If I end up getting a sevice we will have to play a bit.

Ok. Finally it worked.

Either I was typing something wrong or "the system" got it's shit together.

Now...let me go back and read what a Diamond Card does.

I'm signin up. Just got to buy a 12-month gold card first.

Regarding Time Warner's Roadrunner service, I'm extremely happy with their blazing internet speed.

I just got an email yesterday saying that my card is on the way, it will take 2-3 weeks for me to get it in the mail.

WTF shipping method are they using where a regular size envelope takes 3 weeks shipping time? Especially since it is ALREADY on the way.

So it really wasn't 8 weeks, really 11, but who's counting.

As junkie said, people are starting to get confirmation emails about this. Joystiq posted about it a few days ago:

http://www.joystiq.com/2006/03/10/xb...nd-on-the-way/

I haven't gotten the email yet, but hopefully I will soon.

Actually the E-mail Says "Now being printed" which leads me to believe that they have the exact same model 785EPX printer that I have if it's going to take 2-3 weeks to get it

No sign of my Diamond Card either. Then again it's been two months and I still haven't received my extended warranty info from MS either.

Well my card finally came. It says it expires in May of 2007. We will have to see if this card is worth anything.

I've already used mine to get a free sub from Quizno's with the b1g1 coupon that came with it. Not a bad deal.

I should be getting mine very soon. The 2 for 1 at Hollywood Video will come in handy. I believe that deal is also for games, right?

My understanding is when you get your card, you log into the site and view the current deals. And then you print off a coupon to use for that specific deal?

Got mine in the mail Monday. It's neat looking. Anyway, it says it expires in 2007. Will we get new ones or is this a one time deal?

It may be related to your xbox live status. If you renew your membership, you probably get a new card.
