Struck out at Target and Costco in Chicago. They both said they received no shipments since the launch.

im sure the midwest will see a lot more units soon...

Costco in ohio got 110 yesterday. yes, 110!
Target has gotten 2 shipments since launch (one of 4, one of 6) for 10 units total.

What were the quantities Costco got for the launch? Are they owned by MS? Their quantities are awesome, especially compared to everyone else, combined.

I just picked one up for my brother at CostCo, they had over 150 of them, but 50 by the time I left. It's the one in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

My Wal-mart got 4 in last night. They sold within minutes after the box was opened. Not sure if they were premiums or cores.

I got in on the $1000 Gamestop bundles a few nights ago.

I just checked the order status...all items have not transitioned to "Processing".

It's funny how far gaming has come. I remember when the original PSX came out and no one gave a shit, now it's a frenzy.
If only the people who wanted one bought one, I wondered if they would still be sitting on the shelves.

i dont think this bestbuy "relaunch" is going to work too well. all systems will be accounted for when the store opens because the line will start forming around 10pm the previous night.

now, if each store were getting 200-300 units, you MIGHT realistically be able to walk into a best buy a little after opening on 12/18 and get yourself an xbox360, but with an average of 24-50 per store, they will be gone at open.

It's funny how the 5 closest Best Buys around my area are going to have, in total, about the as many as a singe CostCo has been getting. Though I suppose there are a lot more Best Buys in total than there are CostCos.

Yes but in theory CostCo is a lot farther down in the electronics foodchain that BestBuy should be in theory. Serious CostCo is crapping all over BB at this point.

Plus Costco will have a large surge of new memberships to report this quarter. I am still waiting for the second round to hit the boutiques so I can get my bros pre-order.

So, will EBAY prices drop, or will they continue to stay at about 50-100% profit?

I would've checked CostCo today, but I'm a bit under the weather. I check two MI stores this weekend (Fri & Sat)

There is a Costco in Brighton, but it is too far for me to deal with. I didn't call them, but you could try.

EXACTLY. There are people frothing at the mouths to give Microsoft at least $450 and can't. Those same people are not going to want to drop that amount of money after Christmas. I'd definitely say the launch is a complete failure. Just becuase they sold out of the first day shipment, does not make it a success? Those all went to hardcore gamers that were going to buy it anyway. What was that? 400,000? Were they honestly worried that those wouldn't sell? Their customer base is around 25 million Xbox users. They needed to get those people on the fence before Christmas. They blew it.

Anyway I checked Sears and they also said they have not received any more since the launch.

My friend that works at Wal-Mart said they got 2 in last night and she got mobbed trying to put them out. 2? Why the fuck even bother? What a joke.

Got a possible lead for tomorrow, hopefully my brother can snag one.

We don't have any Cosco's around here though, wish we did. Those shipment numbers are insane.

i agree, i mean if they still have the shortage and sony can launch then i could see the people who put back money for a 360 getting a sony instead and then picking up a 360 when you can walk into a store and find one anywhere. microsoft screwed themselves on this one and gamers aren't as forgiving as computer nerds who will wait for patch upgrades and stuff. i'm going to keep checking best buy, costco, samsclub etc till i can get one because i think sony sucks but at this point i think microsoft is sucking as well.

I highly doubt there will still be a shortage in August (the anticipated PS3 release), although it is higly plausible that there will be 360s on the shelves and gamers that just chose to wait. I know if I can not walk in and but one soon, without hunting or memberships, I will probably wait. As I said before, I am a Sony guy, but was willing to try the 360 since I liked the on/off from the controller and its first launch, but now I think I can wait.
