yeah the holes keep you locked in place, but the most i've been able to get outta the rock is 4000 bells, and it makes that mario sound when you get to the higher cash.

Then I tried to come in as Sand (while still trying as MK) and it took a few tries, but eventually it worked. Copper said 'Have a smashing time", he ran in to the town, and it 'wiped' into blackness. Both screens stayed black for at least five minutes. I still tried to get in as MK, but it said "Someone else is trying to get into that town. Please wait, then try again."
Well, After that five minutes of black, I realized it wasn't gonna work. So I reset Sand's game and then tried again as MK. But it said your gate was closed. Which might be what caused the other game to freeze on that black screen.
Anyway, I don't think I'll be getting in tonight. So if you could order me a Common Painting somewhat early tomorrow so I could come pick it up, I'd really appreciate it!

I loaded my game on a few more occasions to see if it was a fluke, but still no gate. Looks like Spiketon's fucked, at least with respect to interacting with other towns. The only thing I can think to do is emigrate my character into somebody elses game pak and rebuild Spiketon from scratch and immigrate back. I think I'd still keep my catalog, but all my unique items, museum donations, and mortgage payments and upgrades would be lost. Part of me is tempted to just trade off the game and move on.

try deleting your wifi settings and then save that and start the game up and then close and go back and re-enter your wifi settings then start the game back up. i've read on other forums that usually works. i dont know for sure i've never had any problems.

Drew from Hobbiton................
Thank You!
I'm looking forward to the time when this game is just about hanging out. But I can't help checking Nooks every day for new items. Your town brought me a lot closer torwards finishing the catolog.

Maybe you can contact Nintendo and they can help?
Don't trade off your game. If you do start over, I will be happy to donate bells to help you pay off your mortgage!

Has anyone shot down a balloon with a present and had it land in their pond? That happened to me. So now I'm wondering, what if that had the golden slingshot? Will I never get it?

Wow! I'm so sorry this happened to you. Apparently it's a glitch that has been reported on other ACWW forums including the Nintendo.com one. Another player said it happened to him after having fallen into a pitball that apparently was buried near his town gate while connected wifi with other players visiting his town, he mentions game was experiencing lag. The particular poster mentions a solution out of this predicament: Talk to Pelly and move out of your town via your town hall, then move back in and your gate should be back.If you want to wait before you do this (above) try something else to see what happens: go to your house top floor and use the phone to turn off Blanca visits and the download of letters from Nintendo, then check your gate again.
You have nothing to lose by trying it. If you need, I'm willing to donate some bells and take items out for you to catalog so you can get back in the game.

I might be wrong, but I've got a feeling many of you guys will be popping your new Metroid cartriges into your DS tonight and forget about little old AC.
This could mean it's girl's night out ( not to imply the girls aren't gonna be playing an awesome first person shooter, but honestly, most of us usually don't) so in the spirit of gaming: have a ball, but remember to come back, you don't want your town to get full of weeds!

LOL! I'll still be on Animal Crossing tonight. Haven't picked up Metroid yet. However, I did get my copy of Oblivion for the 360. Going to try to hold off on that until the weekend.
Didn't mean to umm... interrupt you two last night (Tappy & CreatureX). LOL

Anyone have any good prices for Turnips? My town hasn't gone over 80 bells so far for buying them.
I need at least 110 to break even. Last week, I had to sell for 117, after I paid 101. So, I got a tiny profit, but not nearly what I'd like to make.
