How much does the crown go for?
The only rare and expensive item I have is the King Tut mask. I was shocked to get that one. One of my towns residents got on a kick looking for clothing. I happened to have a piece she was speficially looking for. The few times I did that previously, I got a minimal item in return. But once, she gave me a king tut mask. I still wear it and it has been 2 weeks.

I'm just curious to hear if anyone has any decent turnip prices today, mine are 167 as of this afternoon, they've been slowly inching up since yesterday and I've been abstaining from time travel because I think that might negatively affect my chances of a good profit. My town has never offered a high price but I recently began Fen Shui so I'm hoping it'll improve my luck.

Thanks for being Hyrule's first visitor Angella! You were very enjoyable! Hope you don't think I was rushing you out but I was anxious to save so that Nook would upgrade tomorrow. Actually it looks like we can save without ending the WiFi. Have other people been doing that?

Damn. Well, if you open your gates tonight, I'll stop by! Maybe after that, I'll open my gates and we'll try and see if you can get in. But I would like to get you to check out all the free stuff I have outside my Able Sisters' shop. I have some new stuff there since you came over. Most of it isn't that great, and the only reason I bought it was to add it to my catalog. There's a lot of junk there that most people probably wouldn't buy. But I figured that some other people might wanna add it to their catalogs, or even take some of the items.

But my Environment rating from the civic center has gone down, and the reason she gave was because of all the trash lying around. Now I want to sell that stuff as soon as possible, but still want you and a few others to have the chance to add it or take it.

Oh, and I'll make sure to check this thread fairly often tonight. Usually I'll make a post, get really into the game on wi-fi, and not check it until hours later when it's sometimes too late to talk to someone or have them over.

It's the Royal Crown, and it goes for 1.2 million bells. The regular Crown goes for a million.



A chick in my fiance's town (who used to be in my town) was on a clothing kick, and that's how I got the Geisha Wig I usually wear.

Sorry to the new members of this game, but I can't add you to my list just yet. There was a fairly new member who only posted "Please add me to to your list. I added everyone." So I added them thinking 'Ehh, why not?" Well, one night I opened my gates and this person came into my town... and they *stole* a bunch of paintings I had left out for people to add to their catalog - and I had told them to pick 'em up and leave 'em for that purpose.

That person ("joecool" here, Zelda from Telekon in Animal Crossing) also stole from a few other people that same night. So beware if you added them to your list.

Anyway, because of that theif, I am weary about trusting any new people. Once you're more established in the game, I'll gladly add you to my list! It sucks that I can't trust anyone anymore, all because of one bad person's actions. They could have asked me to order one for them, I even told them if they saw anything they liked I'd order it for them. But no... they had to be a jerk and steal it.

Jumping ahead a day should not affect your prices. I've done it before to check prices and had high prices. However, do not jump back in time or your turnips will die.

How did you buy a few? I thought this item could not be ordered through the catalog?

Just figured I'd share this with everyone, since I put in a bit of work getting all of these down. The hairstyle names and colors are the same with men and women; The descriptions are only for the women...I think. (I know the "Reserved Type" for men also produces a three-spiked pigtail look. But the "Fun-Loving" doesn't give men a ponytail. )

Yeah, thanks a lot, 'cause I would have checked. I first made that list in December and noticed it again today, so I figured I'd share just in case it wasn't out there. Oh well. I had fun putting it together.

Hey sdcrym, I had a bit of trouble getting into your town.

I forgot to pick up the Common Painting, so I tried to get back in as MissKris, but it kept giving me the 86420 message.

Then I tried to come in as Sand (while still trying as MK) and it took a few tries, but eventually it worked. Copper said 'Have a smashing time", he ran in to the town, and it 'wiped' into blackness. Both screens stayed black for at least five minutes. I still tried to get in as MK, but it said "Someone else is trying to get into that town. Please wait, then try again."

Well, After that five minutes of black, I realized it wasn't gonna work. So I reset Sand's game and then tried again as MK. But it said your gate was closed. Which might be what caused the other game to freeze on that black screen.

Anyway, I don't think I'll be getting in tonight. So if you could order me a Common Painting somewhat early tomorrow so I could come pick it up, I'd really appreciate it!

I can order the Common painting if you need it later on. Let me know and I can open my gates. Shoudl be able to do so around 2pm EST.

Why don't you just go ahead and order me all the paintings, the walls of my art gallery are looking awfully bare.

If I was rich, I would love to have a complete set sitting by my house to catalog.
But I'm poor. All my money, all 600,000 of it is wrapped up in Turnips righ tnow. Bought them for 104. Waiting for a nice high price in my town or another town. Probably not mine though. They never get that high.
I can order a couple paintings. Each painting is around 1,960 and I think there are 10-15 of them total.

Sorry if this has already been posted but Sam and I were trying to figure this out and I haven't seen the answer yet...
The reason that some people can get mail immediately is because when someone comes to visit your town, any items ordered through the catalog come in right away. So...if you want your order to come in more quickly get someone to visit you!

Oh.. and before I forget. I have to visit Caphill sometime soon. there is a lost kitten there. I have the mother frantically looking for her in my town.

I found that if you just ignore the mother she will eventually just go away, I don't have time for such drama in my town.

actually the last time I had her Tappy and I kept missing each other so we couldn't get them back together

Everyone is gonna get that damn achivement but me. I've been close 4 times so far. I had 4 on miyu(twice), doug, and you. And each time I try for the 5th, a cheap takedown on me happens and evens the score.
Burnout is way too liberal with the takedowns at times. I had one where I tapped someone from behind. Moved away from them, drove for 5-10 more seconds and then crashed on my own. It still gave them a takedown and they were no where near me at that point.
