Basically ended up with 4 wireless controllers, 4 battery kits, wood bezel, 1 year live, memory card, harmony remote ($130retail), vertical stand, dvd case, xbox case, 8 games, 2 headsets, Premium, & 8 games. Total $1500.
Supposed savings $100 of individual purchases.
I think I will sell a few games, memory card, harmony xbox remote, & 2 controllers.

Just a heads up for anyone who ordered from Wal-Mart. I was able to cancel the items from my bundle that are on backorder. I didn't feel like waiting for Elder Scrolls (probably just pick this up when it comes out) and I could care less about the faceplate.

Went to Sears this morning at around 7:00. I was the 8th in line. We were told when they opened that they had not gotten their 360s yet from UPS. We waited there till the UPS guy came at 11:00, and still no luck. The manager took all of our names and the order we were in the line. We were told they would call if and when they got them in. He claimed that they didn't know if they would get any in or not, I'm hoping that they will in the next few days. Otherwise, I am #33 on the list at EB. They got in 21, so now I'm #12. Hopefully they'll get 12 more in in the next few weeks.

Anyone end up getting a 360 @ Sears . . . and if so how many did they get. I was told the local Wal-Mart got 20 core and 20 premium and the local Gamestop got 50 total. I was hoping Sears would get at least 10 . . .

that is the absolute TRUTH. Simply stunning how these stores can't seem to get this right, even when this is like the 3rd or 4th big console launch. It's so laughingly simple, and yet every single time I end up so frustrated listening to some clueless store manager try to explain what happened to multiple people who got screwed out of a system. It's my fault, because I pick these bullsh-t raggedy-ass stores to go to because I figure a lot of people won't go to that one, but then it bites me in the end because those stores are run by idiots. I should've just gone a little earlier to one of the better Best Buys. I could have been home by 10pm, voucher in hand, got a good night's sleep, and walked in refreshed in the morning to pick mine up, no hassle.

Of course, I pre-ordered in May to avoid all of this, but that didn't work out either. Soon we'll be reduced to lining up overnight on the night before stores can start taking pre-orders ;)

I didn't get a Xbox 360, but the Schaumburg, Illinois Sears only got 6 in as said on the sign posted on the door.

Ah, to complete my day - the games I ordered from bestbuy.com that were shipped on the 18th weren't in the mail today. Over 4 days to go from Ohio to Michigan. Apparently they are being delivered by donkey.

my brother ended up having to get a Core system after showing up at CompUSA at 2am for a 9am opening. They had 14 total systems and he was number 12 of 14. Crazy. Part of me was thinking of heading to Target on my way home from work just to see if they had one but the enormous traffic jam quickly dissolved me of that notion. Hell I'd probably sell it on ebay anyway. I want the system but really can't afford it right now.

Update, somebody at my GR actually cancelled a preorder on a Premium system for a refund and GR called and told me the system was available for me since I was next on the list... Just picked it up... best part was total $46 in cash after cashing in my store credit :D

I would guess that stores will be getting small shipments from now until Xmas. Then once xmas is done, there will be tons on shelves.

It'd be a much better idea, and actually cheaper, to buy a high definition projector and a black screen...

I was thinking about closing this thread, since launch day is here and will be gone tomorrow... but then there seems like a huge shortage and I'm sure people will want to talk about where they can find them at. To clarify, I don't think there are too many 360 threads, just too many one and only threads. I'd be fine if the forum got overan by 360 threads for a week or so. It's a console launch and the discussions fine.

Just having a handful of 1 and only threads can make it a little confusing to figure out where to post what sometimes and I think we'd probably have ended up with less threads if we didn't have the 5 one and onlys as the regulars here tend to lump stuff all in one main thread.

Yeah, things aren't bad. But, for example, I've read a few interesting articles on the launch here and there today, and didn't bother posting links as I just didn't even want to put any thought into which 1 and only thread they were most appropriate for.
