Actually, it would make more sense to have the bottom screen as the browser so you could just touch links to click on them.

The keyboard could also be down there, but something you could hide and bring up at will, and when you brought it up it would move the browser window to the top screen.

It does seem like the NDS would lend itself to being a better broswer than the PSP. People seem to like the PSP's browsing. So, I can only conclude that a NDS browser would be great.

The problem is resolution. Most content would be very hard for a browser to effectively display.

Another week to wait to test it out though. Animal Crossing is really the game I want to try out most online though.
Yep, we will have to setup a DVDTALK Aminal Crossing friends list of some sort.

Definately! I can't wait to start playing with other dvdtalker on both Mario Kart and Animal Crossing on the NDS. I've had an awesome experience playing with DVDtalkers on xbox live, and would love to extend that to portable gaming.

As long as you guys play nice. I don't want anyone coming in and chopping all my trees down.

I'm game for both. Animal Crossing should be a whole lot more interesting with a bunch of people wandering into my town.

My wife decided today that she is getting a DS with her extra Xmas cash. While I don't see her needing the Wi-Fi adapter I can certainly pick it up for myself so I have something to mess with on the system.

I have followed the system to a certain degree but I guess now is the time to really dive in and read up.

Wifi service itself is free and only works on certain games. Mario Kart, Tony Hawk, and Animal Crossing are the first ones that it will work for. Metroid Prime Hunters will come next year.

Is there any word if the microphone on the DS will be used for voice communication, either for current or future games? It'd be a shame if the mic was only used for blowing out candles or talking to dogs.

Nintendo demoed the tech at E3. Supposedly when asked about Nintendo gave the usual "It is tech demo", but was cited as saying it slyly. Who knows.

So has anyone gotten the USB thing yet? I'm debating whether I should get that or just a wifi router, since the price comes close to the same.

Officially, yes.

However there are many open source alternatives that will likely (and easily) be adapted to make this work in both Mac and Linux.

Nintendo dropped the ball on this one IMO, they should have supported all from the get go.

Damn. Guess I'll be stuck playing in public places then since I can get it to work using my wireless set-up.

anyone having trouble finding players via Wireless Router?

Nintendo Wi-Fi's site said my router had trouble connecting, but while setting up the router it passed the connection test and so forth. I keep getting messages that tell me that I may not be able to find 4 players at the moment.

Yeah, that's happening all around, it seems. Nintendo is getting slammed right now. I've only been able to connect to somebody only after I swapped friend codes with him, and he lives across town.

Okay I need some help. I'm not too good with computers, (aside form editing), so I am having an extremely difficult time setting this up. I went through all of the nintendo wi-fi steps and still nothing. I have a wireless internet and all that jazz and I even know my WEP password. My problem is when I go to test the connection, it says that there is no access point. I think I remember reading somewhere on the wifi site that it only runs with WEP. So although I have a WEP password, everything else I see says WAN. Could this be my problem? If so, can anybody who has a mac or knows about them tell me how to change a WAN to a WEP? Because I have no clue. Thanks in advance.
